(after reading steam discussions) if there are class that will summon pets: which class will focus on summoning animals? or is it like Mage have spells list to learn, and Priest have different diety to choose?

[Fighter, Knight, Ninja, Samurai, Archer, Thief, Mage, Priest, Alchemist, Jester, Pikeman and Bard] - what s so special about Samurai - is he not just a warrior? Also Jester and Bard?

===================

looking at the skill points, i hope there are diminishing returns from investing points. ( putting first point 0->1 is much more beneficial than putting 34 ->35. F.ex. Sword hit chance lvl 1: 10->30%... lvl 45 : 85>86%)

===================
controller... hmmm i want to bash this idea. But i think i was playing wiz7 on a pad ages ago.
No pets summoning I'm afradi.
Samurai starts to dabble with magic after a few level-ups (same as ninja but different magic style)
Jesters have some nice moves of their own - I once posted a video of the special jester skill - must still be somewhere in this thread ;)
Bard is the only one capable of playing instruments that come with some great musical pieces that call out for, well, quite nasty "divine interventions" ;)

I am 100% for using a controller these days. For decades I was primarily a PC gamer, but not anymore. I only find it worth my time to boot up a Windows machine for Wizardry-like games, and then just barely.

Now PS5 is my preference, with Mac being a distant 2nd, and Windows being a very distant 3rd. I have a Windows box plugged into my tv, so if I can use a controller and only occasionally touch a keyboard, that is tolerable.

I see you have Windows, Mac and Ubuntu listed for platforms. How solid are those plans? Do you plan to release all at the same time?

I'm developing on Mac, so Mac and Windows are 100%. Linux is 90% sure - the library I use, supports it, but need to do a test compile or two to see if everything works as it should.
I'm not using any of the "engines" like Unity, Godot or Unreal.
I only use Raylib for basic gfx/sound functionalities - everything else is my code, but Raylib should support all these 3 platforms (but again, didn't test on Linux yet).

I plan to release them all at the same time yes.

Found the Himsha Jester Wardance video.
Reuploaded it on X for those that missed it the first time.
Himshas have their drawbacks, but the Wardance is a powerful weapon that only gets better with training (from affecting only one group to affecting all enemies and from only dealing a small amount of physical damage to dealing different types of damage in "one dance").

(excuse the shameless Patreon advertisement, but I guess I need to do that now if I want to have any hope of this helping out the development  )

It would be nice if the characters' portrait who do the action do some animation - grin or blink. Or let the frame blink. I only figure out mid right dude was doing attack because of dropped stamina.

Subscribed for $7, and even that I didn't do lightly (I'm a Europoor fag). However I believe in the project and the dev.

Looking forward to that demo!
Thank you very much, good sir!
I hope I won't let you down. I will certainly try my best.

Even though there are not yet many of them, the Patreon supporters are already making a difference.
I just ordered additional monster that I need from the artist I'm working with - and this one will be payed with money that you guys put into my Patreon!

I posted the first image of the monster (one that I got for concept confirmation) on Patreon page, so to all that subscribed - check it out and let me know what you think.

Thanks a lot to all of you that decided to support me on this journey! MUCH appreciated!

No pressure for anyone to join. But I do appreciate the help from supporters, as I'm having a bit of a rough time trying to finance everything myself lately (I described the situation somewhere in this thread).

Looks awesome. Reminds me of Tobagan and the army of trees you have to fight near the Rattkin Ruins in Wizardry 7.

As I'm nearing towards the first "alpha demo" release (remember, Patreons will get early access to it ;) ), I will try to upload material more regularly.
So, here is a new post on X.

When you are adventuring, you can hear the fountain's water running from few steps away, so listen carefully as lots of them fountains are having a very nice effects on the party members.
But, emphasis on "lots" (not all ;) ).

I just posted an update to our Patreon page, revealing another monster asset that I was able to order extra this month with the help of the supporters.
There is also a "road to alpha demo build" post there, revealing the situation and my expectations for an early access demo build of the game, that will be available to Patreon supporters.

I will soon publish another "page from the manual" and a bit longer gameplay video there. I really want to make it worthwhile for those that decided to support what we do so I'll try to post as regularly as I can.

Sorry for another shameless ad for the page, but I opened the thing, and I guess I need to advertise it - otherwise what's the point of it, right?

So, if you are interested in what we do and want to support the development (every cent I receive from this Patreon page will go towards the development of the game) - and can afford it, of course, then go check it out.
