Good grief, you have the intelligence of a snail. It isn't your codex nicknames that indicate to me that you are young, idiot. It is your fascination of, and/or your defense of, porn and body parts crudity. Sheesh.
Then why don't you address the points in posts, rather than super-upsize and bold the "BOY", or attack people for "pretending to have a job" when you've got so much evidence that they don't have one, or make futile attempts to identify what "grade I'm in" as you did in a different thread?

It's already been said perfectly, so I'll just quote it:
Twinfalls said:
You really don't have any idea how breathtakingly your own criticisms undermine themselves, do you?
I agree that someone here has the intelligence of a snail, but I submit that it's the person making dumbfuck "personal" attacks based on handle-names. Especially since the entire point of a handle is to be impersonal and mystArYoUs!

In keeping with the apparent trend of Oblivion development, maybe ALL skills should be Endurance based, because it's up to the PLAYER to have enough endurance to tolerate the horrible design decisions. I'm thinking more and more that endurance will definitely be the most important attribute for someone trying to finish this game.

Hey did you convieniently miss the parts in the bible where it says you shouldn't act like an ass?

"Don't judge or condemn others. Forgive those who have offended you." 6:37 Luke

"The Golden Rule: Treat others as you would like to be treated." 6:31-34 Luke

You really believe accusing people of being fascinated with porn based on some forum comments, using condescending language and uttering curses such as "idiot" is being a good christian? I suggest you go do a couple of hail marys or whatever your particular sect prefer. Say a few thousand of them.

As per the other part of my post:
but really, that would apply to any exercise and I doubt all physical skills will be endurance limited.

Your skill level at fixing/making fancier, technically superior, or more durable armour should be limited by something else. Having it limited by Endurance (only) due to the fact that it requires some protracted exercise would be as silly as limiting your skill level in any aptitude-reflecting fighting, casting, physical skills by Endurance for the same reason.

Example: your ability to twang a bow repeatedly for hours on end should be limited by your Endurance, but your skill level at bowmanship is related to something else - e.g. Dexterity or whatever hand-eye coordination stat the system has.

Edit:
Yes, I realise you could be taking the mickey, Elwro

As the only True Believer on the board, it is obvious to me he is a troll and therefore should be shunned. So it is written; so let it be done.

He would not hide behind the bible, but stand in front of it, if it were otherwise the case.

You're right. I haven't been treating others the way I want to be treated, and thus, have been an extremely poor example of a Christian. Forgive me. PLEASE forgive me, HyperBOY! Please don't think poorly of me.

By the way, the LEGO is getting old.

And the fucking huge pictures are messing with me.

Why don't you just lay off with them a bit stalin_brando; you're giving this mild-mannered Kiwi a head-ache.

How come, there is absolutely no info in there that wasn't known beforehand?

As you and Lumpy asked, I know that nothing is new per se in the codex. It's just seeing all of the missing parts as a ... missing whole? ... as an in-your-face thing. Hearing the sadness of what Beth did to the game in dribs and drabs is one thing. Seeing them summed up together just creates a greater impact. Thus, it shifts my decision.

I need a map, I can't keep track of all these little hick towns. You don't belong to one of these Southern barbarian tribes do you? I think the difference between the two main islands is that the North was colonised by upstanding English and Dutch folk, which is why we have books and electricity - unlike the South, which is left to unsavoury, drunken Celts.

 sure, it's your money. Remember that there will be mods, though, so it may still be an excellent bargain bin purchase for you.

It's good to see they've sucked the joy out of magic. Rather than have a magic system that brings something interesting to gameplay, let's reduce it to being an archer, but with partical effects instead of a bow. And rather than wearing armor, they can cast a shield spell. And instead of getting a vampyric sword, they can suck life from things.

What a fucking waste.

Exmonk and the others who protested porn being displayed in the body of the posts were right -- if deviants want to expose other people to their bizarre fetishes then they ought to have to trick them into going there via a bad link, fair and square. Forcing others to look at it as they peruse the thread is insulting, not to mention unsportsmanlike.

Stop being such a fucking wuss. I've lived part of my life in Asia, and over there you don't find out whether you're into a man or a woman until you reach third base. Welcome to the jungle, baby.

Yes terrible, terrible, just like any other RPG...

So I take it that calming beasts and humans, conjuring undead and daedra, raisig slain foes, using telekinesis to whack things about, magic senses to sense beasts and magic, illusions to make yourself invisible, attractive, healings and fortifications.. that all these are really basic. Yes, they have terribly nerfed it, particularly now that we actually have interesting advantages from rising in the mages guild, and efforts have been made to ensure one can truly play as a pure mage. Yes, it will certainly be just like playing an archer or a fighter.

If you want to bash Oblivion in the illustrious company of Twinfalls and VD, you will have to try better than that ;)

You are a riot lego-man. Calling someone a "wuss" because they don't agree with your version of morality. Yet another sterling example of the rampant immaturity here at the kleenex.

You've lived in Asia? Have you REALLY? You're my hero. So because you've lived on another continent for "part of your life," and because in your tiny little experience, some of the people there are moral degenerates, ergo, whoever differs is a "wuss"? No, actually, SB, you are a sorry pervert who attempts humor by posting or linking to misanthropic crap.

As to traps- come on, the way it worked in MW was lame. The way it worked in any other RPG I played was lame. Krondor: "navigate the hoops". Baldurs Gate: run in trap, die. Reload. Wipe the mouse over the screen until the trap lights up, disarm. Diablo: watch for notch on wall. Or: die. reload, time movement to avoid trap.
This is something that should be moved to the players skill -although some sensing scheme would MAYBE be nice: Just a skill dependent message: Low level security: "A trap is near". Medium level security "A spear trap is ahead". high level: "A spear trap is 50 feet to the northeast, the trigger is a tripwire". But the disarming I'd rather handle myself.

On reflection I pretty much agree with this. Traps in video games are basically a transplant of P&P cliche, and I think putting them in the player's domain rather than the character's is appropriate (as long as the interest factor of the traps is also stepped up). In fact a lot of the charm of P&P traps isn't the thief guy rolling his disarm, but rather a GM that gives the engineer players something to think about (which I think would be the main attraction of well-done player domain traps). GBG is 100% correct to state that they've never been done very well in games. Now, that's not to say I endorse the two we've seen from Oblivion footage, both of which are silly and contrived-feeling.

Huh? I don't get it. It's almost similar to Morrowind's, which is better than Daggerfall's. What's wrong with it?

No it's not "almost similar", it seems smaller and mediocre. As seen from screenshots & videos, they even changed the spell names to something more... *ehm* accessible. Heal Moderate Wounds!?
Oh, IMO, Daggerfall's spell system was better than Morrowind's.
