Uhm, btw. Polina isn't at Obsidian anymore since august.

Probably known but it was news to me. Then again I haven't been active for a while.

At least he confirmed Virginia as the XBLA ARPG. Backspace is probably Rhode Island, I don't think they worked on 5 projects in 2010, so I doubt it's Kentucky.

Ok, giving it another shot:

1 Delaware - Knights of the Old Republic II [2003-2004]
2 Pennsylvania - Neverwinter Nights II [2004-2006]
3 New Jersey - Dwarves [2005-2007?]
4 Georgia - Alpha Protocol [2006-2010]
5 Connecticut - Aliens: Crucible [2006-2009]
6 Massachusetts - Mask of the Betrayer [2006-2007]
7 Maryland - Dungeon Siege III [2007?-2011]
8 South Carolina - Storm of Zehir [2007-2008]
9 New Hampshire - Fallout: New Vegas [2009-2010]
10 Virginia - XBLA Action RPG [2009-2011]
11 New York - South Park: The Stick of Truth [2009-2014]
12 North Carolina - Stormlands* [2010-2012]
13 Rhode Island - Backspace [2010-?]
14 Vermont - Prey 2 [2011]
15 Kentucky - [???-???]
16 Tennessee - MCA's Project? [???] (Just a heavily implied/rumoured new IP, could be something else)
17 Ohio - Armored Warfare [2012-2016]
18 Louisiana - Second crowdfunded project?* [2013/14-???]
19 Indiana - Brian Heins'/Stormlands Reloaded? [2014-???] (This one puzzled me. If this is not Louisiana, what is?)
20 Mississippi - Pathfinder Card Game [2014-2016?]

*Found this in an interview with Feargus:
"My hope really is to look at an early Fall Kickstarter. We like that as well because we'll be done with Eternity."

"I think we have a pretty cool idea for what that's going to be, but we want to vet it internally a little bit more. It gives us time, and then people don't think we're just going to use the money to finish Eternity."
This was in 2014. This might have been the rumored MCA project, but I think it's Project Louisiana and they just changed the schedule because of Fig, the PoE release, etc.
Psychonauts 2's campaign ends on January 12, I think Obsidian's project may come right after that.

PoE II probably doesn't exist yet, should enter pre-production right after they're done with the expansion. There's also the chance it'll get a different name like Trenton (perhaps another battle from the revolutionary war?).

You're setting that MCA project very early. Rumors started in Mid 2014 when he talked in interviews about creating lore.

I don't think MCA's project had a codename, really. It was probably just him working on the setting on his own for a while, etc. It's just that I'm out of ideas for 15 and 16. I looked for "project kentucky" and "project tennessee" and there's nothing, not even speculation in the obsidian forums or anything.Must've been short-lived projects like Backspace or even less developed.
I also put it at 16 because Feargus said "maybe I'll let Chris go wild and create a new IP" back in 2012, and because I don't think it's Louisiana or later.

Backspace had a demo level and all:
Lead Level Designer - Backspace
Obsidian Entertainment
dezembro de 2010 – abril de 2011 (5 meses)

Developed the pitch; including the story and many gameplay elements
Designed, scripted, and propped out the demo level
Implemented special encounters

A lot of youse get mad when Sawyer refers to you as grognards, fortunately he's now made it clear that it's not used in a pejorative sense.

When I use the term, I am thinking of players who like older games/editions and actively dislike their replacements. IME, grognards are usually very knowledgeable about the game and its systems.

If you're actually offended by the word "grognard", it might be time to grow a pair.

Don't know if that was directed at me, but I'm not offended at all, just pointed out that saying grognards are knowledgeable doesn't prevent it from being used in a pejorative sense. I assume this controvery comes from this couple of interviews, and I don't even think it was meant as an insult there.
I don't feel passionate about the word or D&D edition preference one way or the other, any DM and/or group that sticks to an RPG's rules 100% is too lazy and dumb in the first place.

I don't know if it helps any, but the contract for AW was signed in december 2012. No idea when it got its codename exactly though.

Which reminds me Anthony Davis When do Obsidian projects usually get their codenames?

Generally the project name is assigned when pre-production starts on it - which can happen before it is actually signed.

Armored Warfare is definitely Project Ohio.

Nice, didn't know there was any Obsidian dev still posting here.
Did the Wheel of Time concept ever become a project?

But Anthony Davis posts all the time.

Seems you missed the recent wave of Tim Cain posts too.
Indeed I have, then. It's just that when I joined I remember reading some people saying the Codex bashed PoE so much that they all vanished, and that even Sawyer used to post here.

Yeah they did I guess, Anthony Davis had quit Obsidian to start a donut business and suddenly he was posting all the time.

Tim Cain just came out of nowhere.

I'm back at Obsidian, I have been for over two years now.

I read here regularly, but I don't post regularly. I will occasionally respond to an Obsidian inquiry, if it isn't an obvious troll post. I will also post my own inquiries about games the Codex is playing, or contribute to conversations about games.

Alright, not a troll post, so...wanna throw us a bone here? At least 13-16? ;)
