You should check out George Ziets past
:troll:

Anyway, Shane Defreest joined Obsidian according to his facebook
A veteran of the entertainment industry for nearly two decades, Shane has worked in comics, games, TV, and film. Shane holds a unique place in Vampire: The Masquerade history, having worked with Vampire in every published medium. Shane helped re-launch the Vampire: The Eternal Struggle TCG at Wizards of the Coast in 1996. He helped launch Vampire: The Masquerade Revised Edition in 1998. He contributed to the initial concept outline of Laws of the Night Revised in 1999, and in 2003 was recruited back to the franchise to become the Community Manager for Activision’s award winning Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. In 2007, Shane began producing events and destination experiences for CCP Games. Shane then joined CCP full time as its World of Darkness Community Developer. Shane has executive produced more than fifty World of Darkness events on three continents, including the 2010 and 2011 Grand Masqueradeconventions in New Orleans. There is an old game industry proverb that states “never, ever let White Wolf choose the bar.” Spend a night out drinking with Shane and you’ll quickly learn to take that proverb seriously.

He also follows the codex on twitter.

Also apparently he had things to do with NWN2?

Can any old codexers shine more light on him? I'm a bit too inexperienced to remember him.

I'd be delighted if Obsidian copied D&D and made multiple flavors of generica. Seems like something Urquhart would do.

Asking again.

Try searching for his name on the Codex. If it doesn't show up, I doubt anybody knows who he is.

It does. 2 times.

There's also lots of stuff with him if you google search him and nwn2 including this

http://www.sorcerers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=38020

So I do think at least some people that were around during Bloodlines and NWN2 should have heard about him.

I'm not sure the Codex was as big about stalking that kind of thing back then as it is today :P

Codex 2014 PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Divinity: Original Sin Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Divinity: Original Sin 2
No, back in the day we used to harass any developer who would register here until they stopped posting. Then we went through a period of bitching about how developers don't post here anymore. Now we just stalk them when they post on other forums, which I think is a much healthier way of carrying out our obsession.
