I doubt they’re working on two fantasy games since they’re making Avowed.

don't underestimate the fantasyfagness of obs, they made tyranny while they were making pillows

good, Tyranny

Nah

Combat is so fucking bad. And the well-written parts are few and far between between the shit like 'Kills-in-Shadow'. The reactivity is also a joke, as the base gameplay is so bad you're better off just using a previous save before committing to a specific path.

Seriously, stop trying to be edgy newfags

I probably like Tyranny more than most on the Codex, and it's really not any better than OK. Definitely not as good as Pillars or Alpha Protocol. In an alternate universe where they had the time and money to make a complete game with more than 2 enemy types, maybe it would be great.

only thing I really liked about tyranny was the magic system but it was still a bit half-baked and unfinished, would have preferred if they expanded upon it in deadfire though

The writing for the dialogue is indeed meh and the combat may be mediocre but the reactivity is very well done and very thorough.

Dude is 45 and was healthy before. You can be a high functioning alcoholic almost until your natural death if you start that late as long as you don't completely overdo it.

Strap Yourselves In
Unannounced Obsidian Action-RPG
Released: N/A

Developer: Obsidian Entertainment

Platform: PC/Consoles

Engine: UE3

Genre: Action-RPG

Role: Narrative Lead

Can’t say much about this one because it was canceled before it was announced, but my role on it included:

  • Designing and prototyping a real-time reactive dialogue system that allowed for players to “walk and talk” with their companions, including “timed” replies for if you didn’t chat back at them

  • Adapting a well-known IP for a Pixar-inspired storyline

  • Writing and developing the main cast and narrative elements

  • Cutscene development

  • Level and creature support
If there’s one canceled project that I wish I could actually finish, it would have been this one.

Somebody said they're not working on Pillars 3 yet. Pillars 3 will come after Avowed is done, if at all.

I'd rather they start something new than TOW2 or have some radical and extreme changes around it in all possible sections.

If Klobrille had insider knowledge he'd know that Parker was kicked off Avowed and replaced with Patel. Who knows who's leading TOW 2? :M

Klobrille doesn't have sources inside Obsidian, he has source(s) at Microsoft. Or at least had.
Some other guy had a better source at both Obsidian and InXile. Though he has been quiet for a while now.

If Tim&Leo stepping down wouldn't Starks get the job since she was more involved with TOW than Patel? Patel taking over their flagship title(awoved) sounds dumb af too tho, wasn't she the one who fucked up the first DLC of TOW? Meanwhile white male Kirsch giving foot massages in the writers' room while contributing to the few good parts of their mediocre games :P
