Well, to the average consumer - I'd guess - Dragon Age conjures up images of fighting mighty monsters and changing the face of the world, making your mark on the, well, age. The Black Hound sounds like an adventure game or something about a big dog annoying people in a backwoods village. It's no worse than "Dragon Age"Kind of glad it isn't going to be "the Black Hound". I'm sure the story and setting is good, but it's such an awfully bland name. I know I might take flak for that one, but a game does sell pretty hard on its name. It's by no means the most important part, but like boxart, it's the first, if only, thing consumers see of the game.
First time I read that, I read it as "There is no sleep for the Witcher"<!--. T . X X I T X -->
<!-- There is no sleep for the Watcher. -->
I guess Josh's poster was
NO
SLEEP
FOR
THE
WATCHER
then...
Well, I'm preparing for the inevitable Eternity by Obsidian Kickstarter Codex donation campaign:DSo it is "Eternity" after all? Also: I must have had a lapse in my attention...wtf is "Eternity"?
skuphundaku thank you for changing your signature.
Well I hoped for more mystaary! than the exact same sentence in the source.I guess Josh's poster was
NO
SLEEP
FOR
THE
WATCHER
then...
REALLY????
world-saving bullshit
If it were a Bioware game, it would be a game about voyeurism. Then again, that would be quite an awesome game if implemented right:D.world-saving bullshit
sounds more like a personal story about forced watching over someone/thing.
This "Watcher" thing sounds like Grey Wardens world-saving bullshit. Another mehdieval hilaroic fantasy?!
By the way, how come nobody is butthurt that this game is most likely to be "grimdark"?
Also, because it's Obsidian.By the way, how come nobody is butthurt that this game is most likely to be "grimdark"?
Because when done right, and not to pander mouth-breathing dudebros, it can be a worthy, mature addition to a serious RPG universe?
I am hoping for a Age of Decadence-like setting: at first, it may look like low fantasy, but if you look deeper you realize that it's, really, PA in a sci-fi setting. So now I wonder, this would be JE Sawyers baby most likely? P.A. Fantasy setting ( I would love that)? High or Low magic? RTwP or Turn-Based?
Anyways that's my guess. And if it is the KS, I wonder if the codex would do another drive for it, and HOPEFULLY MCA would agree to do more codex trolls, because I missed out on that.

Heimdallr requires less sleep than a bird, can see at night just as well as if it were day, and for over a hundred leagues
As for the whole word thing that some one pointed out resembled or was possibly some Celtic language, it could be set in the British isles in the Dark ages with a conflict between the native Celts and invading Saxons and Norsemen.Heimdallr is attested as possessing foreknowledge, keen eyesight and hearing, is described as "the whitest of the gods", and keeps watch for the onset of Ragnarök
By the way, how come nobody is butthurt that this game is most likely to be "grimdark"?

Or "Elder Scrolls".

Highlander RPG. Got Watcher's, Gaelic and Immortality.
I wish for a different setting than the one in AoD.I am hoping for a Age of Decadence-like setting: at first, it may look like low fantasy, but if you look deeper you realize that it's, really, PA in a sci-fi setting.
