Shit, why couldn't they add the cd to the 250$ pledge :(
Looks like I have to up my pledge once again.

What are you talking about? The music CD? They added it.
Nah, you need to add 20 bucks to your pledge, whichever it is. Well I think so, or their is something here I didn't quite understand.
"For the last final hours of the Kickstarter, we have a limited run add-on of the Project Eternity Soundtrack in a physical audio CD format for $20. You need to be at a physical tier ($65, $100, $140, $250+) to add-on the audio CD soundtrack."

Dude.

IT IS HEALTH. It is just being labled something else for fluff. Consider it like this:

you have TWO health bars one of which regens. There are spells to heal the first (and probably the second although that is not confirmed). If these spells are low level (should be conisdering how they only affect the regen health) they will be spammable. Supposedly if the health can be healed too outside of combat then your healing spell will regen too. I know Sawyer said that there will be no cleric spells but he did not say that there will be no healing spells.

The description clearly smacks of magical means to healing. I wonder if that is a spell.

As long as one healing bar CANNOT regen and has no spells or normal magical means to heal itself (which they have confirmed),

They haven't.

then no, there is no regen health and no "healing spells".

There is regen stamina which IS health+.

I like the idea of stamina/health. It does not make sense for a person to go from 10 HP to 150 HP over the course of a game. It does make sense to go from 10 Stamina to 150 Stamina but to remain at 10 HP.

Hopefully health will be damaged by things like critical hits, certain spells or if some damage threshold for a hit is made.

edit: And of course for running out of stamina.

Seems to me, that Expert mode is actually the core rules and the only way the game might present any semblance of a challenge - so who are the mentally retarded imbeciles that would play in normal-ultimate pussy-flaming fagot-braindead-cocksucking-eatgarbage-popamole mode ?

I mean, game is PC only so consoletards are out the window and not even biodrones are retarded enough to require wimp mode, so who exactly are they addressing with this "normal mode" ?

The health/stamina system kind of reminds me of Jagged Alliance 2, and that game was awesome.

Also, kudos to Josh for sticking with permadeath. :incline:

I am hoping this game will be Dark Souls: the infinity engine experience. Sounds to me like they are liberally taking inspiration from that game as is already (and that is a good thing).

Edit: Oh shit, yeah. Permanent Death. That's why I quoted that bit somewhere else. WHAT GAME STILL DOES THAT? That's amazing news.

So Darklands system after all, Josh, huh? :incline:
Damn it, I just realized that I can't watch them playing D&D. The different timezones mean that I will be at sleep by then, because i have to go to work tomorrow.
Also this. Could some good soul record the whole thing somehow, and then upload? Many brofists will be had.

Bro it literally says this: " A recording of the play session will be made and released later for those that miss it."
cursed be mine sight

BiK did not have regen.

It actually had an AWESOME heart button for regenerating stamina right in the middle of combat. Very exploitable.

Only in expert PC gamer mode. But I honesty can't think of anyone who'd want to play on non-expert. I hope it's the default choice.

I wonder if (hope that) companions will have personality algorithms, as in Arcanum. :bounce:

Personality algorithms? This is really in Arcanum? Could someone tell me in a few sentences what this is?

Though Health is typically lost at a lower rate, when the PC or a companion hits 0 Health, he or she is maimed (in standard play) or killed (in Expert mode or as an option in standard play).

Some of us consider that giving options to retards is a bad thing because it acknowledges their abject existence.

It's an AWESOME! button that regenerates a few stamina points every time it's pushed. Have you played the game, Captain Shrek?
Its my second RPG right after (my playing chronology) Antara which I player earlier as demo.

So now you are telling me that it regens your health?

I don't think so. Dumbfucks would complain, because they don't have enough braincells to find the option and turn it off.

From Obsidian Forums:

This is less and less what I thought the game mechanics would entail.

Quest/goal experience is a hugh let-down for me. No traditional healing -- I'm with Monte on this, so I guess I'm failing my intelligence check on that point.

Completely takes the wind out of my sails. With less than 30 hours to go, I have a lot of re-evaluating to do with regard to enjoyment factor versus pledge level.

I so much wanted this to be more in line with the older I.E. games.

WAAH WAAH!, no grinding and no spamming cure light/medium/serious/critical wounds! WAAH WAAH!
