I wish I could reach through the monitor to smack some of the people I see making silly comments because of the $ 350 tier being US only as well those I see bitching about Feargus not announcing new stretch goals :rpgcodex:
Totally, I think making the game solid is more important than adding a Third City or a Castle or another Super Dungeon. Those backers are nothing but.. :declining:

The Verge interview said:
Urquhart said his 30 seconds in the video was the by-product of about 40 takes. And that he couldn't stop worrying about the project and its Kickstarter until they hit about $750,000.
The Verge interview

Who would have thought. You couldn't tell just by looking at production values. So the whole chillaxed persona and informal style were the product of countless takes. That's rather... manipulative.

Or because, you know, the studio is made up of rpg dorks who aren't used to being filmed.

I'm glad they didn't add any strecht goal. They got the funding they need for their total initial vision of the game, adding more things artificially could make the game an uncohesive clusterfuck (fallout2 anyone? :troll: ) with bugs, or take more resources from traditional projects than what they can allow themselves without some publisher butthurt. Better if the use any additional funding on some polishing.

Amazing how this works, the desire to spend more money is somehow generated in people. I feel it myself, but then I ask, what for? I'm already spending so much... what if the game sucks? Yet every time I open that kickstarter page I have to restrain myself. Damn!

STREAM IS UP http://www.ustream.tv/channel/project-eternity-live-stream

Personally, I'm actually pretty happy they're not announcing any more stretch goals - I hope they spend that extra 400-500K purely on quality assurance. :P

They're on Twitch as well. Feargus doesn't know what the Truffle Shuffle is, I may have to cancel my pledge.

New update

And here it is...
$4m Stretch Goal - Enhance the Whole Game
OK! After much team deliberation we have one final ultimate stretch goal. At $4.0m we will be enhancing the whole game. We will use live instrumentation for the soundtrack, add developer in-game commentary, and use every dollar between $3.5m and $4m to enhance the game. Also at $4.0m Chris Avellone will be forced to play Arcanum.

We are streaming live now on Twitch and UStream. We will be playing board games, answering your questions, and having fun!
Thank you everyone!
