If you'd asked me before how much OE could raise with a KS I'd said 5 mio. As the actual drive progressed I estimated 3-3.3 mio. Seems I was wrong on both accounts.

Yeah, the tavern is way cooler than an adventuring party, I think. A lot more that we could do with it - plus I thought the adventuring party proposed by DU was kinda shitty. Not that I could come up with anything better, but the tavern gives us a lot more options for creativity.

I'm imagining something like the bar in Deadwood, a den of ill-repute, with Vault Dweller serving as a stand-in for a vicious Al Swearengen type character.

Strangely enough, they seem to have forfeited updating Mega Dungeon levels. Looks like the final rush had overwhelmed their expectations.

edit: It would be pretty clever to present the backers with an unanounced stretch goal (conveniently just reached) after the drive has ended. That would constitute a satisfactory climax that would appease the masses and give Obsidian breathing space for months to come.

We'll have a tavern chain that is dominating the game tavern business in the game world. In reality, it is not a simple tavern chain, but a front for a powerful shadowy organization that is trying to take over the world. Or, even better, we could go the Deus Ex IW route: have the two taverns seemingly compete, but in reality being owned by the same powerful shadowy organization that is trying to take over the world (and that, at some point in the game, sends an assassins squad to take out the player's party).
