It's a skill people suffering under the tyranny of moderation develop fairly quickly. Not every place is so free and enlightened like we are here.

Some of them even are fairly old and played all the games I grew up with and still somehow come to the wrong conclusions. How sad is it to actually experience good design versus bad design first-hand and then still come to the wrong conclusions! It's even worse to have such a background and still fail to see truths that are as obvious as a quest compass marker.

On one hand, we can't destroy all 'polite ways of telling you why you suck', because then we'd have a crossover of teletubbies and 1984 where you have to agree with everyone. On the other, we can't say let 'er rip, as a private company forum we have to draw the line against what society considers 'profanities' at some point. It's not the best, but it usually works, except for things like religion or romance where people just get really, really angry for some reason.
