And of course I usually end up defaulting to Lesi's opinion.

Ignore that second-to-last sentence. I don't think she even bothered with KotC.

Now one might be wondering how I can reconcile Lesi's opinion of "IWD2 is the worst IE game" with Sawyer's opinion that, of all the games he worked on up until New Vegas, IWD2 was the most fun to play. The answer is doublethink of course.

Seems easy enough to reconcile to me. Even the worst IE game is more fun than all but one of Obsidian's games.

I never played the IWD games though so I can't say for sure.

Edit: I forgot Sawyer worked on IWD1, so uh nevermind I guess?

Also, if you'd ask Josh, he'd say BG2 is the worst Infinity Engine game. :P

They won't be. They'll probably be nigh-perfect. After all, perfect balance isn't really achievable.

I read this and it makes me almost hope for Project Eternity to be terrible before I take a deep breath and remember that I actually want to enjoy the game.
Exactly. If there's any butthurt against Sawyer left its because Roguey's the codexian equivalent of BioWare's PR. Not the best first missionary of Sawyerism a forum could have.

In a completely unrelated tangent, I remember some of youse complaining about how some of Eternity's rogue abilities felt like twitchy "action" mechanics well guess what:

one of the 3.5E splatbooks had a thing called "skill feats" iirc that was actually pretty interesting (a very high tumble skill would let a rogue do a once per day move where he'd tumble through the enemy square, end up behind the enemy, and then get a sneak attack).
that's extremely similar to the reversal ability we gave to PE rogues ~*
It's from 3.5 D&D, that means the grognards should like it. :smug:

"Shouldn't that mean you hate it?"

Well it's a 4e-ization of 3.5e so no.

Bonus:
Josh again said:

sorry i deny that non magical characters can ever have "per day" abilities. get this weaboo bullshit outta here

In Pathfinder if you have an ally next to an enemy you can tumble through them and get sneak attacks any time you want.

Josh Sawyer doesn't like BG 2?

It will also feature a slow combat toggle that can be used with or in lieu of the pause feature. In slow combat, players can manage the flow of combat without needing to halt the game entirely.
I did not know about this. I wonder how useful it will be. I also did not know didn't know godlike weren't a separate race. Can't wait to see how different the ethnicity/godlike status changes a character (appearance, stats and reactions).

Aumaua is a neat-0 concept, semi-aquatic with webbed hands/feet...but nothing will sway me from the Human/Elven Godlike Cipher, that's just how this faggotty snowflake rolls.
