Another benefit of the haakona is that if you ally with the KDF and buy the mirror ha'apax and aegis shield you can make it look like this.

special missions give marks, which you then turn into reputation, which is split into tiers itself and each tier gives you options of what to get as passive skills and tier appropriate gear

tl;dr: grind

I get EC from maurading or selling/recycling loot.

if I'm really desperate I might even turn some dilithium into tradable goods.

Yikes. How are you guys getting energy credits? Buying stuff to fulfill reputation projects has left me broke.

Ker'rat lv50, blow up the Repair Cubes.

Only problem is you usually get Klings annoying the crap out of you, yesterday I did just fine as many Rommys are doing Ker'rat and its even better as the Borg are not firing on Romulan players unless you fire on then.

What you want is Engines, Deflectors and Shields and sell then to ESD/First City bartenders as they pay 50% of base price (best seller price), that means 100k on Mk XI shields.

Time-gated grind is the bigger keyword though. You've got a fairly large overall sum, but ultimately you only need to work around 30-60 minutes per day to get Omega and Romulan rep (Nukara takes a bit longer).

true... you can't do it 24/7, but it still comes down to repeating the same things over and over and over... and neither the missions nor the rewards are good enough for that

Elite Special Task Forces give decent loot, Dilithium, and are very fast to run with a proper crew.

As for Romulan Marks, you can just hunt rabbits or run Acamar for 15 minutes.

true... (relatively) quick doesn't equal good, though... and having three of these reputation grinds now makes it worse

I am not happy with Nukara Strike Force rep, true, but at the very least it's fairly unimportant compared to Omega and Romulan rep trees. All the important stuff is elsewhere.

Fedside? There are some Officer Reports farming missions you can run. Build a tricobalt bomber and go to town. Tour the Universe can net you well over 1m EC in a single hour with a properly-equipped ship. Honestly though the easiest way to do it longer-term is to roll a KDF character and have him subsidize your poverty-stricken Feds.

While all the Feds are scrabbling for a few EC here and there this is what's going on KDF-side:

Well, not much use for us in general terms, but hot damn Elite Cores and more special consoles!

Yes! I've been holding off on doing much at all with the currently available warp/singularity cores because I figured the fleet versions were on the way. The advanced RCS console also intrigues me because my current science project is as follows:

1. Acquire Fleet D'Deridex
2. ????????
3. Manuverability!

Well to me the interesting thing is if this stuff will come with +phaser% bonuses, since that might swing my Oddy back to non-Janewayramblings loadout.

  • The elite Crystalline Entity mission will now reward 60 marks instead of 40.
And they've apparently reduced the difficulty as well.
  • Romulan Captains now have access to a series of "Bridge Officer Applicant" Recruitment assignments which can reward Romulan or Reman Bridge Officer candidates of Green or better quality depending on the outcome.
    • These assignments will only appear in Tau Dewa Sector, New Romulus Command, and are not common.
Time to get my full set of superior romulan operatives.

A question: Do Romulan captains allied with the Klingons get access to the Klingon duty officer missions? You know which ones. :D

Yes, they share them but keep unique Romulan only DOFF assignments, I get a lot of Diplomacy options.

9% discount total isn't going to blow people's minds. Elite Cores and special engie consoles are the real deal (I for one hope the consoles are beam cruiser-tastic).

We were discussing this new holding online last night, drakron was on Tribble giving us the dirty details. The commodity discount projects look like they're useless, especially for a fleet that's already far down the path of starbase progression like we are. Fleet mark discount could be a good thing, depends on how much getting it will cost us. I of course only really care about the new shinies and toys.
