I'm not a huge fan of this game, but this thread is full of tryhards trying to fit in by crying about a new big name game, as usual.

Open beta for everyone tomorrow anyway. May download and check it out. Expectations are low.
Its "fun" but not worth paying for. Should have left it FTP
Pretty much. Its fun game to play for a while but it has no interesting skill "ceiling" to achieve. If you are competent at fps you will dominate from the get go. And then get frustrated, because some shitter pressed Q awesome button and instagibbed you.

Like I said before, all you need to know is that you keep your ultimate skill charge level even if you die.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
Its pretty much TF2:The Easy Mode
TF2 at least had enough common sense to have each character distinguishable enough that even in a big firefight you could tell who you're facing.

And yet, Valve were pretty quick to throw that 'feature' under the bus once they realized they could rake in money from selling hats and other cosmetics.

Some cosmetics make it pretty hard to tell some classes apart...seemingly on purpose.

So don't be surprised when other games just go "LOL" at the thought of it.

Example? I haven't played much for a year or so but I never remember seeing anything that ruined the silhouettes.

Meh. The game is a fine little objective oriented team shooter. Can't see myself paying full price though. The animations and general audio-visual production is stellar (even though I dislike the art style) but the gameplay itself is...generically comfortable. I don't hate it but it won't hold my attention for long.

It's a typical nuBlizzard game - harmless, inclusive "fun". Looks alright and runs well (60fps on 1080p at max) on my 3 year old rig, characters are interesting for 5 minutes, until you realize maps are quite poorly designed and there's very little variation to the general gameplay. There are obvious chokepoints in every level and one alternative route so the slightly less intellectually challenged players can flank and take out the big stationary Bastion that is mowing down the lemmings in droves. I hate the fact that you can have duplicate characters on your team (and even on the opposing team), but maybe some mode will take it out in the full version.

I don't think the game has got any sort of staying power, but hey, I could be wrong. It's pretty much the FPS equivalent of Hearthstone - there are much better, deeper and more involved games out there, but matches in Overwatch last 10 minutes and it's got a lot of "character", explosions everywhere and it's very friendly. I'm sure it'll make them money, no matter what.

Junkrat is fun, I spammed mines, traps and grenades, got my ultimate charged and killed some random unsuspecting dudes.
Zenyata is also cool but his healing is not that good I'd imagine. Haven't played other supports yet but seeing how impactfull they were when played by team mates this makes it a valid conjecture.

Agree about the maps, they are too small and linear. Feels like cod.

Ok.

The game is shit. Kiddie graphics, sounds, and the gameplay is pretty spergy autistic fps.

I'll pass. Though I suppose some will feel the game is great and production values are typical blizzard. This is the only game of blizzards, I don't see myself playing.

I filed for a refund of my pre-order and got it.. Thanks! ;-)

Playing it on the ps4 because my laptop isn't as vodka proof as i thought. I like it. Watching wave after wave of retards leaping into the one choke point on the map like demented lemmings is endlessly entertaining. It reminds me of watching players at the start of elder scrolls online repeatedly bashing themselves into the invisible barrier on the steps. It's just a beta so hopefully none of these fuckin idiots will buy the game.

He is the most team oriented healer and needs coordination. Also his advantages require some skill to be use properly. Your ball's long range is key because you can switch between allies at long distance to keep everyone at top health and this allows you to hide (Mercy and Lucio are much more close range healers). Don't even bother shooting unless directly threatened.

But honestly I find his extra damage ball to be amazing when used with people on skype or teamspeak, even Roadhog melts when focused fired with it on him.

His ult is basically a point breaker (try blocking Bastion or turrets with your body since you are invulnerable while you aoe heal).

I like Zenyatta. It took a few matches to get a grip on how to play him but his healing is really good and his damage is pretty decent too. I guess most people will play Mercy because she moves a lot faster but having a team with Zen and Mei can really fuck the other side up

Tried the game; I was pre-emptively ready to loathe it, but it's not bad. I can see this being a fun game to jump in and doing a few rounds every now and then. Would not pay full price though. The only character I tried playing as was Tracer, and her skills were surprisingly well done and interesting. Zooming between an enemy zerg, planting her Q bomb and then rewinding time to get out of there and watching the enemy team blow up is quite fun.

This is interesting because I think it's a trend in game design today - games that people play while waiting for other games to load/queue up, like Dota or League of Legends. Players have such short attention spans now that they're alt tabbed half the time (when they're not streaming on Twitch or actually, especially while streaming on Twitch), so stuff like Overwatch and Hearthstone fits that theme perfectly. They are games that do not demand your full attention, are very much geared towards instant gratification and are playable in short bursts.

I myself cannot stand playing more than a couple of rounds of Overwatch at a time, but I don't think it's bad. It's just... quite bland and harmless.

Played it a bit, not bad but nothing really special either, worth playing only if it goes free to play.

It will not be worth playing at all if it ever goes free to play, unless you plan to only ever play premade custom games.

I came into this thread ready to bash this thing, because fuck Blizzard. I started watching the cinematic trailer, got bored and stopped after a minute. I started watching the gameplay trailer, and...call me a fag, but I want to play this. For years now, we've gotten no FPS games that aren't Call of Duty or its clones. Here we've got an FPS that uses colors other than gray and brown, involves fast movement in three dimensions, and has varied gameplay depending on which character you choose. Isn't this what we've been saying we wanted for a long time?

Why should I want a TF2 clone with childish fantasy art style?

This is what I wanted for a long time:

Uuuu,Thanks mate, for showed me this game called reflex,i don't know how i miss this game.Ohh and don't be too bad, yes, overwatch is a clone but at least a good one.
