I keep forgetting MCA doesn't work at Obsidian anymore. :negative:
Obviously, since you said this just a moment ago:
I don't think goth vampire games with sex, drugs, and political intrigue is very much up Larian's alley.

Larian would be a huge mistake, they dont have the writing talent or tone to pull off a good World of Darkness crpg...

Inxile, shit i would love to see that just for the train-wreck it would be.

How the mighty has fallen.

I'd really like a Bloodline-like WoD game, but I don't trust any dev to make it right. Maybe CDProjekt, but they've got other things on their plate.

If Troika could do it why can't Obsidian or Larian? Why do people think companies are unable to do something outside their regular portfolio, they just usually don't have good reason to do it.

CDProjekt look like the only people who could pull off a good WoD rpg, they certainly have the tech and talent to do it, they wont tho.

Could be good, even without MCA. Won't be, but hey. That's what alcohol is for.

Bloodlines 2 is going to be shit regardless of the developer(if it happens) because it will based on the flawed premise of cashing in nostalgia and trying to emulate past greatness instead of actually having a creative vision.

Hopefully none of the new games will have anything to do with bloodlines, specially now that it's somewhat viable to develop proper CRPGs again. They could probably put beckett/smiling jack in the game to create that link but that as far as I'd like it relating to vtmb.

Agree.(but for different reasons I guess)

The problem is that with the way cRPG developers seem to think(what with wasteland 2, PoE and Numenera) and given the critical/popular acclaim of bloodlines we might very well end up witnessing a bunch of hacks tarnishing a legacy.

Honestly, i would prefer to see a Werewolf game instead of a sequel to Bloodlines.
A werewolf game is a kind of an action party based game but in modern setting and with spiritual travel. That would work better for Larian as it can be less serious.

Yes, as we all know, supernatural creatures that bite and transform in a wolf are much less serious than supernatural creatures that bite and transform in a bat.

Obsidian doesn't have the talent anymore to tackle something massive as WoD.

Well, they still have Tim Cain... But you are right. If they make a new WoD game, it will be a disaster like Alpha Protocol was (with some good ideas here and there).

The people with the biggest involvement in Alpha Protocol, Brian Mitsoda and Chris Avellone, no longer work at the company, so we should be good. :troll:
