Based on tabletop RPG.
combat system with active pause
Not really, but it certainly wasn't much of a handicap until you started running out of clones. If I remember correctly, death is actually a functional mechanic for furthering progress.
what, about our buddy julius caesar?Don't feel bad, Cow.
A little backstab never killed nobody.

Yeah those look absolutely horrendous not only compared to the original paranoia or fallout art, but in general, too.I will say I do hate the Pip Boy ripoff art. I wish the posters had been done in the style of Jim Holloway:
He was backstabbed, frontstabbed, sidestabbed. Overstabbed and understabbed, propably also stabbed from directions we do not know exist.
Who knows which stab killed him?
Establishing things after 2000 years without adecquate source material (none of the historians who described the assassination had medical education) is quite prone to errors
Suetonius relates that a physician who performed an autopsy on Caesar established that only one wound (the second one to his chest that pierced his aorta) had been fatal. This autopsy report (the earliest known post-mortem report in history) describes that Caesar's death was mostly attributable to blood loss from his stab wounds.
So can I shoot commie mutant traitors or can't I? Or is this being made by them?

PARANOIA: HAPPINESS IS MANDATORY was announced today. It's a CRPG based on Paranoia, commissioned by Cyanide Studios, being developed by Black Shamrock in Dublin, and to be published by Big Ben Interactive.
Congratulations! Any chance you might make a voice cameo?
Greg Costikyan Well, at least so far, only The Computer will be voiced. And of course there are localization reasons to minimize voice acting. But if plans change, I'd not be averse. I sat with the team for a week last year, and review builds, but I'm not actively involved with the development.
