Anyone else experiencing huge mysterious damage spikes? It's totally random. Like i can facetank uber empreh with full hp and when he's ded and there only some stragglers left my hp is suddenly drops from 5k to ~400. I mean i'm jugg in heavy armor with 7 endurance charges. You can't just remove 5k hp from jugg.

That is just Path of Exile being Path of Exile.
I run ultra defensive jugg to point where i barely make damage and even with maxed out everything i can you are playing this "immortal" facetank until some trash mobs just one shots you for some reason.
GGG hating melee is meme at this point. I think Chris openly said one time on some podcast he would wish to implement mode in which monsters had more hp and less damage to slow down it.

We try to focus on one area of balance with each major expansion to address that area as thoroughly as we can. Around the time that we started scoping 3.6.0, handcasting and lack of powerful spell variety were big topics both in the community and in our design discussions. We feel that the changes in 3.6.0 greatly improve the spellcasting situation and are very much looking forward to your feedback on these when you get to play the expansion.
As for melee, it's certainly on our radar and is likely to be the focus of 3.7.0 balance work. The design team have some good ideas that I'm quite excited about.
They can't, because they will die without it. Look at the player numbers in relation to the age of a league.i wish GGG would slow down on the clusterfuck content upgrades they are spitting out and instead put more ressources into balancing and changing mechanics that are already there (melee ect)
tbh as a filthy (rich) casual, i am overwhelmed by the sheer amount of new stuff they spit out.
i got the feeling that after a certain point, less is more and fine tuning existing mechanics and content can be more valuable than brining new stuff into the already bloated core game.

Zealotry is a new holy themed aura that provides more spell damage, a small increase to spell critical chance, and a chance to create Consecrated Ground on hitting a rare or unique enemy. As Consecrated Ground now increases the chance to be critically hit on enemies within it, this further increases your critical chance. The aura works well with the improved Inquisitor Ascendancy, which has some new effects for Consecrated Ground like letting the Consecrated Ground continue to apply its effects for a few seconds after you, allies or enemies leave its zone.
