Highly unlikely. They cucked HH plenty with the self-curse nerfs anyway. It's in a much better spot now.

I doubt this league will have anything to do with Nemesis. It's probably going to be a low-key league like Ritual that allows the Siege of the Atlas expansion to take center stage.

In general, we're focusing on two particular archetypes that we feel were the least competitive with other builds during Scourge. These are handcast spell builds and hit-focused bow builds.

Bow builds were always good, but usually held back by the annoying need to slot barrage for single target. Somehow I doubt this is fixed.

I'd skip bows this league if you're planning to play trade. I'm guessing everyone and their dog will try to play bows this league and the prices for anything will be super high.

If you're going SSF it probably won't matter though.

Convert into Fire, that is best. Also use Hatred aura for more physical into elemental. You can farm that Abyss armor that will give you elemental pierce vs all elements. It is easy to self link it into 5L and 6th link is free.

It is getting a damage buff in upcoming league. Ascendancy depends on if you play softcore or hardcore. Crit Inquisitor can work well for softcore, you don't even need elemental penetration in that case. You can also go Chieftain for full focus into fire. Occultist is also good, you get a bunch of bonus damage as Occultist and also nice for critical focused spells.

Chieftain ought to be good but it seems hard to get the necessary dex to us the spell since there's basically no dex nodes in that part of the tree. There's kinda the same issue for inquisitor and occultist, but a bit less since it's closer to assassin.

I am also planning to do a self cast spell build to test their "buffing". Last time I did something like that, it was Occultist Arc with Unleash and it was decent but never super awesome. Not even once I switched to LL and used Pain Attunement. Clear was decent, bossing was not.

Not sure what to play now. I would like to play with Cold spells but 2 good ones (Frost Bolt and Freezing Pulse) had their projectile jewels removed which kills their clear or their bossing (unless you switch gems before every boss like battle which is super irritating ,especially since rares with combination of mods can be tankier than bosses).

Maybe it is time to try that Firestorm character I wanted to try. Or Ice or Shock Nova.

Ignite got a boost with new patch but I played Ignite Elementalist last league so I don't want to do same.

Atlas-wide Passive Tree

Seems nice actually, the first 30-50 map completion bonuses tend to come really quickly, so it should be pretty fun to get stuff. Of course figuring out which direction to go on first open will be tricksy.
Archnemesis looks pretty meh. Superpowered rares tend to be some of the worst encounters as they don't telegraph their attacks. Metamorph 2.0 is right.
