I want to play with the new Atlas Passives Tree soooo bad. It's gonna be like a 2nd Christmas when they release it next week.

I hope the Orb of Unmakings are more reasonable to farm in SSF now. It was quite limiting in the past.

  • New Monster types have been added throughout Act 2: Wasps...
:negative:

Anyone knows if Awakening Level affects Invitatons? I know it affects fight with Maven itself.
I'm trying to beat Breach Lords (The Hidden) here and they just wreck my shit... doing it scoured btw.

nvm it sorta worked because this snowball spammer show up first and died like a bitch, even without HP boosters it took more damage than Sirus A8... geez glad it's over

Breach Lords Invitation is easily the most difficult after The Feared. It's pretty normal to struggle there. I'm impressed you managed to beat it!

Seems like they are rolling back the vast majority of endgame changes done since the release of Conquerors of the Atlas and I have to say I am thrilled. I hated the fights against Sirus and the other conquerors and the map regions added nothing to the game apart from forcing you to only run maps from the region you currently need (either to get the watchstone or to get a bonus from the passive map tree). It is completely open of course how good the new pinnacle bosses will be but they can't be worse than the last.

As an aside: I am wondering how many years it will take for the Vulkan renderer to leave beta :M

After thorough exhaustive research regarding bladefall, I have come to the conclusion that the only viable bladefall build is animate weapon. Thank you and good night.

Cameria's Betrayal Research Safehouse rewards are now Orbs of Unmaking.
I'll be running Jun atlas passives the whole league then. Unless GGG buffed the drop rate to Regret Orb levels.

end_of_league_regret_orbs.png

granted, I will probably have to use the Orbs of Unmaking much more than Regrets. With only approximately 20% of the passive tree available at any given time, I suspect it'll be respeccing bonanza throughout the whole league.

edit:
You can purchases Orbs of Unmaking in unlimited quantities from Kirac for two orbs of regret. They also drop approximately 10x more often.
Ok, I found my Regret sink :bounce:

It looks like you can get 1 full set of one of the new bosses, full harvest and 2 league mechanics of your choice at the same time, while having the chance for all the conqueror, guardian and synthesis maps.

I'll try out the Kirac stuff early. It should help with map progression. Overall it looks like the maximum possible juice in any one mechanic is now nerfed, but you can use it in every map you'll run. But you also get to run the same map with 15 favourite slots. I'm not sold on this new approach yet.

On one hand I am torn between many of the passives and want to pick more than I am allowed. But on the other hand it makes me angry to see so many of them be padding or dedicated to shit like Rogue Exiles. I doubt any one build will be able to handle fully juiced Rogue Exiles early on, where their rewards are still relevant.

The first implementation of the Atlas Passives was pretty busted and players abused them to great lengths. This time it feels like GGG is very cautious and released the tree pre-nerfed.

Here's more optimized tree that won't suffocate your GPU
https://poeskilltree.com/?v=3.17.0-atlas#AAAABAAAAA==

Say goodbye to the Additional Slots for 6-Sockets League.
I still remember my pain in the wrist after rolling Harbingers watchstones (1x valuable shards and 3x more shards after defeating them) One of the few reliable, stable income in the game that you can run without much though after comiing from work. And scarabs were weirdly cheap...
I know it's some kind of plebenian strategy but I didn't care. Seems like they boosted the speed of Harbingers casting crap, about time but little too late...

A lot ow 1%, yawn...
Bounty Contracts for Heist? Now that's nice idea to utilize Rogue Exiles to be worth meeting.
And Ritual - drop bloodfilled vesel and can give you special rewards. Neato.

I liked both Rituals and Heist but there was no decent options for them in the Atlas regions previously...

edit
am I blind or there's nothing about invasion/beyond?
There is, and it gives currency instead of "valuable item" that was (at best) random scarab.

Looks like I'm going to run occultist wintertide + (vortex? cold snap? creeping frost?) for single target as my league started. I tried really hard to find a workable bladefall build, but it didn't work out. Occultist is pretty cool though. Bit worried the single target won't be enough for the league mechanics/bosses.

For the atlas passives, I'm going to rush shrines.

Hey guys, I'm planning to return to PoE for the first time since 3.9 (Metamorph), gonna try to roll some sort of (probably ill-advised) Herald of Purity Guardian in SSF because I like the concept.

I really liked Metamorph last time I played, so I'lll probably specialize in that on the Atlas tree. Expedition seems pretty cool too, and Essence nodes seem strong.

Other than that, do you recommend any particular leagues for SSF? Heist any good? I have never played Harvest in its original form -- is it worth focusing on, in its nerfed state?

For SSF? Heist is a trade league money printer. Unless you need a particular replica or alternate skill gem, don't bother to specialise. It's still good for general unique hunting, though.

I mean, for SSF it depends on what you need.

If you play SSF, you are already playing for fun over accomplishments so pick whatever looks the most fun. I like shrines and rarely see them so I'm going to pick that, and then hopefully find some increases to perma delirious maps, but that one is pretty deep.

I would be interested in having more uniques drop as those tend to be the bottleneck for trying out more advanced builds in SSF. Unique rewards in Metamorphs were somewhat common. If Heist is a good way of just getting more uniques overall (without getting into the replica/alternate quality stuff) it might be worth focusing on, I guess.

It's excellent for lower tier uniques. Cold Iron Points (Phys Sab staple) are commonly sourced from Heist. Tabulas are easy (easier) to get there at lower levels.

And you don't need to wait until you finish the campaign to go Heisting.

Thanks, that's helpful. Any opinion on current state of Harvest?
