One thing I really despise about this game is when it decides to take control away from the player to show an useless cutscene where the text is displayed at snail-speed above the characters. What's the fucking point? Just use the normal dialogue window, holy fuck. I don't want to stare at Tristian screaming at Vordakai for ten minutes.

I think that thing happens when the actors are also doing some other stuff. Casting spells/moving around etc.

I guess you can consider it an attempt at cut-scene.
But vignettes appear only while they stand still or at best move their hands with pointless gestures impossible to decipher. Do your thing and then let me press space after reading the dialogue at my own speed.

Knowing Owlcat, a "skip cutscene" button could probably break the entire Pitax chapter.

Not Greater though. That extra six AC could be tough.

I'm fucking loving this game, and I feel like I'm starting to understand some of the rules as well.
Is there any way to see the dice rolls for the camping activities? I would think that you could right click them in the log (like other skill checks).

When you're done camping they'll be in your combat log. Would like to see Combat Maneuver breakdown tho.

Straight TSS Val doing Greater Bull Rush at lvl 6 is hilarious. Tossing people out of combat every round and everybody gets a free hit on the way out.

I love this game, but visual effects have clearly been designed with the intent of making everything a blurry mess impossible to understand. What the hell is this supposed to be:

You can configure whatever mob info you want under difficulty.

Shit's Blurry and Displaced because Blur and Displacement.

So you don't see any problem with the fact that THAT is what is displayed on the screen? An incomprehensible mess oversaturated with visual effects, where some creatures are actually impossible to identify.

Shit is not blurry and displaced because of Blur and Displacement, shit's blurry and displaced because spells and abilities visual effects are poorly designed. None of my characters have any blur effect active on them, but they are still hidden among that absurd clusterfuck of lights.

13 are required for the green salad romance. One is required for the elven king. A couple are required for some buildings. Been a while since my last unfair playthrough, so memory might be hazy. I think one is required for the tartuccio secret companion.

Really? I just entered a location straight after camping on the world map, and there's nothing in the log.

I camped straight after making that quicksave.

On an unrelated note I absolutely obliterated Fawn Lord, I almost feel bad for him. Will there be any massive difficulty spikes after Chapter 1, or can I safely increase my difficulty now?

Mouse over failed checks to see how you failed, or successful ones to see how you succeeded.

Does anyone know what's the point of the various "research into nature of the curse" projects? I can't find anything useful online.

The one from Season lets you build Exotic Garden, Candlemere unlocks Region Upgrade. Wouldn't be surprised if some more did similar things. Payoffs aren't there to find out ultimately, just some more of that sweet empty design space for modders to fill up.

They're something to do to keep advisors busy midgame, and they do boost ranks.

I didn't know about Tartuccio, that's cool. But what's the elven king?
