I actually can't think of anything that's as "epic" as Wrath of the Righteous besides Throne of Bhaal and Baldur's Gate 2 to an extent. I just hope it won't suffer from the same issues as High Level AD&D. Playing Rocket Tag is the most arduous thing ever. Either you one shot the enemy in quick manner or the enemy implodes you faster than you can pause.

I prefer feat focused classes for the trickster due to the large amount of feats required, but then again you can always build the character without vital strike or weapon specialization etc. so Bloodrager or Magus will also do, probably better with some fighter/slayer dips to compensate? Magus Vital Strike with perfect weapon was already a thing back in PF, it could be very strong here as well.

The only 18crit 2hander with the increased crit multi stat is a fauchard, so I guess that will be the weapon of choice. Having so much crit chance makes crit multiplier the best stat on weapons.

Yeah, you have to be of an alignment that fits with the path, plus you must complete various objectives in some of them (e.g. preparing for Lichdom).

Some likewise branch, such as in the case of the Aeon. You'll have to make some decisions and depending on your choices it'll unlock the Devil path (closing the Aeon one in turn for your character).

What's going on is women in charge. The usual in declining empires. Some chance we can decline so fast we won't even lose the Republic which would be a helluva trick.

I'm not sure if I agree with that. A couple of games I've played that can match or even surpass Wrath. In the Narrative Department you have: Colony Ship, which is shaping up to be a worthy successor to Age of Decadence. For Tactics, Enemy AI, and Combats you have Knights of the Chalice 2. Chalice has many features: Module Creation, Mod Support, Enemy AI that is likely far better than Wrath, etc. However, if there's one thing Wrath is probably going to excel at: build porn. Which is guaranteed due to mythic paths and the hundred something classes the game will ship with.

Wrath has a new Vital Strike based class that I think you'll enjoy. The reason Haplo used Sword Saint with Vital Strike was for Perfect Strike and Perfect Crit, which base Magus doesn't have.

I was talking about Aldori Defender/Swordlord which is what I'll be playing at release. Likely Trickster into Legend.

Obviously the new Hasty Halfling.

Played Temple of Elemental Evil a while ago with Circle of Eight - isn't as amazing as Chalice 2, but has enough depth to its systems. That it's fun coming up with different parties and builds. Another game I fairly enjoyed is Icewind Dale 1; has loads of classes/class kits for party creation. Optimizing for Heart of Fury is pretty fun too.

If you don't care about classes, then games like Battle Brothers can be quite fun. Much larger party and a quite steep learning curve.
