Hap fucking good call with the Slow spell actually. Just switched it in and it is a godsend against Undead even though I'm not specialised in Transmutation DCs
Don't miss Darven's Hat!

People sleep on Transmutation since there's no items or abilities that specifically enhance its DCs but it has a lot of good spells.

Fuck's sake the bit with the gargoyles attacking the camp is obnoxious. I have to beat these cunty bat fuckers with over half my team missing, that's just wonderful
They're all 5 HD Humanoids. (Other than one Cleric)

Minor but interesting discovery: Dazzling Display usually requires the chosen weapon to be equipped, but if you get Dazzling Display (Mythic), you can use it with any weapon.

Just by memory Vellexia has a robe as loot that increases it.

So hmm I started an Azata playthorugh, and I am in chapter V now.

Was Azata progression always so slow...? Other mythics usually get some type of ability related to the mythic by MR3 but Azata gets it at MR4, or all paths have been nerfed to get them at MR4?

Also, is life bonding friendship supposed to trigger at the same time with last stand? Or is it a bug? Basically makes last stand useless as you can't heal the char when it triggers so your companions dies anyway...

The new DLC is pretty bad, the story is not bad actually but all the islands and the encounters felt really like a chore, but the good thing is that if you have spontaneous arcane casters it gets you enough XP to reach lvl18 during the Abyss part which means having access to Weird. Previously you could only reach lvl17 even doing everything that could be done.

Sadly I see bugs that were present 1 years ago, and still not fixed :(
And new ones, like the Jubilost random encounter in chapter V not triggering (so you will be missing a demon blood needed for the storyteller artifacts).

You get the Dragon at M3. The main thing about Azata is Favorable Magic which shows up at M4 along with the spell that boosts Enchant (Mind?) DC.

Those are the big draws to the class and you get them soon enough. I use it to make Bard/Skald into a casting threat so that's pretty powerful in general plus the Songs boost Aivu.

Frankly most Mythic paths start getting the Good Stuff (TM) at MR4.
Except for merged casters, which have major benefits instantly at MR3.

Ok no UA is naff

Well it's ok in tough fights, power attack is a bigger increase in damage but affects your hit rate against tough enemies i suppose

Eh maybe i'll stick with it

Playing as an undead bloodline sorcerer, it is surprising how much use I got out of cause fear in act 1, it is helpful in market square against spectres, against the wights in the cellar as well as against the ghouls in the nabasu fight, particularly those paralyze causing ghouls.

Aivu, the Azata dragon at M3, is basically useless at hard+.
It starts to have some use when you can ride it, but before it cannot use spells, it's limited on the gear it can use compared to a pet, also not all buffs that work on a pet works on it and the AC is abysmal.

It has a lot of dialogue interactions, though.

Nah the Sonic Breath is good right away. AC is fine unless you’re trying to tank bosses with it, which isn’t intended use. Was fine for me on Unfair.

Currently owning with Bismuth on Hard lol.

Why are you in Blackwater at M3 lol? That’s a you problem.

My Unfair MC was Battle Scion with Guarded Stance and Animal Totem so AC was less of an issue but Bismuth has 50AC already on this run without that and not even to Blackwater yet.

You can ride Aivu as soon as you get Legendary Proportions spell, and she can wear barding now, it partly solves her AC issues with +5 armor in the DLC 3 shop. It had worked out pretty well for my Kineticist who really wanted full attack after movement with Kinetic Blade.

I am running an Elk and a Boar through Drezen right now and I cannot imagine anything that has DEX shitty enough to wear barding being useful for tanking at all

I had to abandon all pretenses of my boar, even, which has the worst DEX of all the pets, to wear light barding.

And even with BFT-boosted stats and the best possible tank spells their AC is only just good enough

If you can cast legendary proportion in Blackwater it means the party is at least level 13 so basically you are doing it at the end of chapter 3 ,and with the DLC 3 shop that sells endgame gear! So basically you are agreeing with me, she needs extreme measure to make it work.
I'd rather use a level 7 slot on something/someone else.
That's a lot of effort to make Aivu viable, when you can just let her stay at the dungeon entrance.
