Anybody? =(
I thought the entire point of crossblooded is that you're one further level behind in spell acquisition. You get 2nd level casts on level 4 like every sorcerer but you have to wait until level 5 for your bloodline specific spells. And then on level 6 you get to pick a 2nd level spell yourself. That's how it works right? The guy might just be using a mod or something.
TTT adds -2 Will malus as well.
Perhaps goes without saying but the will malus is from PnP rules. I double checked them when I was looking at Yosharian's issue.

  • hunter bonuses to ability scores from Animal Focus — Bull, Tiger, and Bear have been changed from enhancement to inherent;

This is significant (applies to both companion and character).

Yes it is. I wonder if there will be some competitive Hunter builds now (beyond 3 level dip).
Doesn't help staying pure that the Animal Focus progression was character level based, rather then class level based (likely due to a bug).

Somehow the various hunter archetypes always felt lacking and underpowered to me. Divine Hunter is almost good with its delayed Domain access. But then it looses out on the class defining Animal Companion Teamwork sharing ability, as well as actual Teamwork feats themselves, making it strictly inferior to the inquisitor archetypes IMO.

Divine Hound is maybe somewhat okay for Mythic Paths that don't need Swift Actions (not for an Aeon then). Hmm, Azata maybe?
....although with Life Bonding Friendship given by default, I guess Divine Hunter could be an even better pick for an Azata, as its Teamwork loss is pretty meaningless then (and you get Domains and the improved Animal Focus).

With the DLC3 ring almost makes me want to play a Divine Hunter Azata.... almost.
Would Aivu count as an animal companion for shared judgement and mythical beast?

Mythical beast NO.
Shared judgment no idea.

New patch! Let's see what they broke this time...

Areas

  • Fixed Chaplain's assortment of goods in the Murky Grotto and Nondescript Pier, and now it depends on the expedition;

Uh-oh Aivubros, no more +5 gear for the crappy dragon in chapter 3, how can we pretend it's not a useless bag of meat now?

I posted the pic. No Barding. If you're too lazy to cast a Barkskin that's a you problem.

We’ve been over this. Main value of ranged Hunter is turning on ranged TW Feats for team (can see this in CotW), for melee getting Outflank very early where it’s most needed.

Owlcat implemented neither one. Focus change is a way of sneaking in the latter without admitting I was right, but it’s much weaker where it matters most. Enhancement is hard to keep up early anyway and Focus on character is min/lvl too.

Does help class suck less mid/late so still viable I think if you want early Leopard tank. Ranger/Druid utility starting at lvl 1 underrated.

I'd rather see it as an Azata with dog/wolf. Getting and sharing Tandem Trip without prerequisites from the Life Bonding Friendship, Animal Focus boosting Str & Dex for more CMB, Getting Aspect of the Wolf for even more CMB and a Swift Action Trip...

Arrogant aristocrat fight in upper city is surprisingly and unexpectedly difficult fight, had to retake a few times to get the correct strategy (and lucky with initiative roll on my character to get off phantasmal web and phantasmal putrefaction first round).

There are a lot of fire immunity items.

IIRC the winner of their fastest kill contests are usually Fire Kinnies so seems like that fight is shout out to them. Prot Evil gives immunity to Dominate to handle vamps.

You can get Tandem Trip in TTT from Dirty Fighting so don't need LBF. Azata not good fit unless you're using it to get a full pet w/ a class that traded that full pet for a lot. Aeon gets much bigger CMB boost, for instance, Demon Move teleport to set up etc...

There are no vampires in that fight, you are thinking of soul hunters earlier. I beat it already when I casted protection from fire every turn but two guys immediately critting two members of your party through 12 fire resistance for 250+ damage is unexpected. There is still a lot of frontloaded damage from blood rain, the succubus archers and incubus with haste. So if you go into it blind you can suddenly find 3-4 people dead within couple of rounds.

I tried making an Azata Hunter without life-bonding friendship. Nothing seems to apply to Aivu, not even Nomad background or Acid Maw.

You're a victim of duck typing. And for you it works as well as in Python.

I casted protection from fire every turn
You know that you can (and probably should) stack both Protection from Fire and Resist Fire, right?

Blending achieved

How are you getting a raptor on that guy? Aren't the only mount classes he has Sohei level 1 and gendarmes level 3? So you have a level 4 (or 8 with feat) mount, but those two classes can only have a horse? Or is it a mod thing?

EDIT: Oh yeah. Animal domain. Don't mind me...

CBA reading the whole thread but I've never played this game and it's on sale on Steam for peanuts.

I like all classic IE games and played them on release. My favourite is BG1 because high-level AD&D is very boring.

I tend to dislike munchkinism and I'm not particularly attracted to buildporn. I try to find a build that works but I don't lose any sleep over any of it. Having variety is nice for subsequent playthroughs.

I'm also not a storyfag, as long as there's a functional premise I'm in. I like exploring (yes, I consider painting the map exploring) and limiting my IE plays with things like no resting in dungeons, etc.

I can't stand SJW garbage and it's very likely I'll stop playing if there's anything in my face to that end in any game. Since this has a Pathfinder licence, is it completely infected?

Would I like this?

Probably not. Neverminding whether or not you think it's too SJW or not, it's as epic as epic gets and VERY build porny, so by that metric alone I'd say it's not worth it unless you're mostly just interested in DLC 2 (Through the Ashes) and its upcoming follow up in which case I'd say, yeah, that did a nice low level adventure. It's only like 8-10 hours though, so YMMV.

I don't care (and almost don't read) what you wrote there, but don't buy this game. Buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, it is very good.

Immunity, not Protection. That's what makes the fight hard - the usual Fire protection isn't enough. There are some tough adds in that fight too, thought they were some vamps but I might be misremembering. You get distracted fighting the adds then the invis Kinnie roasts you.

You know that you can (and probably should) stack both Protection from Fire and Resist Fire, right?
Not enough unless you can interrupt the Aristocrat which is tough to do. One of the Mallender's Belts gives Immunity, Reg gets it from HK, and there's a Cloak for sale in Drezen.

Doesn't work even on Forester confirmed. Not recognized as Animal Companion.

Dirty Fighting is class restricted (rogues, slayers I believe?) and still means two feat/talent picks - instead of picking it as a bonus. Aeon can get great AB & CMB bonuses - but the opportunity cost is high here. CMB bonus will be rarely picked over +AB, +DC, +AoO, +Concealment, +Spell damage. And you only get a SECOND Gaze at MR6.
Meanwhile the Animal Focus(Foci) stat inherent bonus(es) is(are) always active.

Demon Move teleport is very niche, I'd not spend the Move action that way, except on specialized Vital Strike builds.
