Just a heads-up for people wanting to do cavaliers and/or lich path - don't. Lich path breaks the HoMM part of the game for most of the part and Cavalier is anything but functional right now.

Steam rage says putting Crusade on auto breaks the path because you don't complete certain mythic quests. Playing the Crusade system manually however I don't think it does because Victor already completed the game as Lich I believe.

Bugs it up and the only way to get around it is to cheat in some troop amount. Some people report that they can't progress in Act 5 on the lich path as well. Seems to be the most broken one at the moment, which is ironic considering the fact it was allegedly the second most played mythic path in beta. But the more I play, the more I am asking myself: "What beta?". Only thing this game hasn't botched is the OST.

Shouldn't you be able to refuse to commit to all paths in order to unlock Legend? Kinda odd that you've got your first level into Trickster without realizing it.

legend is a late game path. you switch into it from an early path, same deal as swarm and gold dragon.

Auto kingdom broke a lot of stuff in KM as well, even a few patches in.

Someone released a mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderwrathoftherighteous/mods/40) on nexus that lets you just auto-win crusade battles, so probably better to just use that if you hate the crusade mechanics.

Do you end up as a sort of multiclass equivalent for the mythic path or are the levels that you've got in your early path deleted and the XP from them goes towards leveling the late path?

As someone who actually welcomes some gay shit in my rpgs, this is too woke even for my suspension of disbelief to handle:

Crusade is lead by 3 women, 2 of which are interracial lesbians and 1 of them is trans.
Storyteller is retroactively gay (which is to be expected, cause he is an elf and they all are fags, but it should have been revealed in the previous game to not appear like pandering).
Token black guy is also gay.
Linsi was announced to be lesbian.
2 of 3 villains so far are powerful women.
Almost all relevant non-demon gods and legendary heroes in the story are female.
And more...

There is a line where you are trying to hard to appear woke (somewhere close to Dragon Age: Inquisition) and this game decided to make an Olympic champion worthy of a jump over it.

Despite smaug's sound counsel, I opted to continue with my Cavalier. Oh lawd. Outside the first charge, the mount AI goes berserker mode and you have no control. Since I am playing only on normal, my character zooms across the battle critting shit. There is no tactics, only horse bites. This is amusing for the moment, but I know that I am toast when I face the first boss or hard encounter.

It is a shame that it is so bugged, because of all the pathfinder classes I really enjoy this concept. It's probably far from optimal, I do get the sense that I could replay the class around different aspects (charges spam, single enemy challenges, or group buffing).

Yeah, it's quite a pity. I bit the same bullet, because I went for a pseudo death knight build (Cavalier of the shroud (deathbound hourse) + Urgathoa LE cleric going into Hellknight Signifier) and it's surprisingly efficient, even on Core, although it's tiresome how clunky it is. Cavalier's tactician feat doesn't work at all and I burned two feats on getting Shake it Off for my char and the horse, not knowing it doesn't work either.

i believe its multi-class equivalence for GD and Swarm, loses all mythic powers for Legend

I agree with this. NPCs are NPCs. Female companions are overwritten. Only male companions (I.e. Nenio, not Sos) have depth and interest (although Sos has based bro).

Yo, I'm picking my first mythic feats, and it's probably my noobishness talking, but there seems to be a bit of disparity in power levels here? I mean, I could not die for two rounds, or I could have UNLIMITED RAGE. I could do some middling (likely unscalable) damage on a miss, or I could gain multiple AOOs with a bonus to hit and damage. How is Leading Strike comparable to Abundant Spellcasting?

Can anyone with actual knowledge of the system tell me if I'm seeing this right?

Did anyone mention the mc portraits? Like, the scarcity of decent ones fitting your char was a problem in KM, but at least they were mostly good. Don't know what happened here, but dear god... That black caster lady, for example, looks like it has been cropped from some webcomic and it's downright repulsive. You're not telling me anyone wants that as their mc, black caster ladies included.

First impressions review from the Worth A Buy guy, who's usually got a fairly representative (of what normal people think ) take. He loves it. Little things like hating the voice acting don't stop him from liking the game either. (Hilariously, he killed Nenio on sight because he hated his voice - and Nenio's line on being killed is quite funny )

That's a fun character concept to try out though. Maybe a modder will take pity and release a fix.

Can spells be cast while mounted? I am guess the answer is "no".

You’re not. People’s first impressions tend to be inaccurate, including my own. They all have their uses.

You effectively have Unlimited Rage by midgame anyway. I wasn’t very happy with that one. Leading Strike is better than Abundant outside of some narrow cases. You get more rest than P:K.
