Slingshoot guy not that good just basic ranged infantry instead of the shield plebsNever lost a single unit
Ranged seems to be crucial due to the sheer damage they put out, clerics and hellknights are just excellent units all around. What's with the brown guy though?
Who the fuck designed plagued smilodons? High movements monsters with a lot of immunities and a ton of 40 strength attacks on chapter 2??? Is the game just balanced about greasing everything? Is the message that you have to lube up for it?
I at least want to pretend that both was timed missions and your people are dying right now.Cross-posted from OC forum re:HoMM fights:
I enjoy it. Battles resolve reasonably quickly but aren’t trivial, and you’re rewarded for methodical play with the companions. You can scout out new areas, return to camp to configure your team and spells then repeat four or five times if needed. I probably did that for both the Leper’s Smile Cave (great trap rigging!) and List Chapel both.
Meanwhile your army resources steadily grow and you only need to make sure to keep up morale.
In P:K there was too much of a reward for going fast to do that.
Tell me about it - I'm 36 hours in and reaching lvl 2 of Gay Garrison. Core rules.Games like trigger my altitis so bad. I've been playing for days and still haven't gotten to Drezen. I'm sure my new overwhelming sorcerer half-elf who'll have spell pen out the twat will be the one I finish though, r-right guys?
My advice is - be prepared to not take the game seriously in general, including your "experience" of it. For me at least bugs are within the tolerable limits of a brand new RPG.So i waited a long time to play KM because of bugs and features not added on release. Shoud i wait some time to play WOTR too? I've read in some places its quite less buggy.
What do you mean not taking it seriously? I TAKE ALL MY GAEMS VERY SERIOUSLY.My advice is - be prepared to not take the game seriously in general, including your "experience" of it. what a fucking aids puzzle i can't see shit here
I mean waiting for some months for patches will not improve your "WOTR experience" so much that you would say what a classic RPG, although some errors in the rules implementation and UI glitches will have been fixed. What do you mean not taking it seriously? I TAKE ALL MY GAEMS VERY SERIOUSLY.
The campaign's tone is "pretend-high fantasy epic"
Is it really the guy you love, or the fact that he's a self-insert of someone who can't stand the giant idiotic plotholes of the main story?I love Regill (chapter 2 spoilers)
