You can get the book bonuses before looting them, good way to not skip any by accident. Looks like you don't need to scroll all the way too.

Once again, fuck the crusading mechanic (see number of turns).

So you want them to put you out of your misery faster when you enter battle unprepared?

Maybe try bypassing that DR, just like in the side with your companions.

What Desiderius means is take a general with scorching ray in the starter set.

Confirmed bullshit.

Which part?

With the mage general it's easy to no-loss everything in A2 and A3, you barely need an army.

3. My autism is concerned the about difficulty mode. I'm playing core, but with amount of enemies set to "normal". Because it sounded more "core". But is it truly the corest core? It seems Owlcat will never make a clear core core mode.

On normal amount of enemies CORE becomes much easier, I think too easy. While it being harder but doable with many, the game becomes a god damn slog. I switched from TB to RTS mode thanks to this.

How can you be atheist when gods and demons exist in the world?

They believe in Gods. They just don't worship then. In Forgotten Realms, their fate is pretty harsh. Being sutck in the wall of the faithless. BTW, in NWN2:MoTB you can visit it.
More people need to remember MOTB on this board. The Codex loved it when it came out. Now it's rarely discussed.
A 2007 expansion pack, thats kinda old , no surprise people dont discuss it anymore. The only strong point was story.

Yet he was just a man capable of killing the god(ess) of magic and unravelling the fabric of the universe. What more god-like power do you need? Only Ao would not be affected by this as he exists ouside of the existence.

It does not really matter, it did what it did.

The Goddess came back.

Karsus didn't.

That SHOULD tell you everything you need to know there.
:hmmm:

Eh, I'm one of those heretics that actually ENJOYS the gameplay of NWN2. I still go back to playing it occasionally and I'm looking VERY forward to the BG2 Reloaded project.

There were quite a few tough enemies as compared to vanilla NWN2 campaign (Beast of Malar is something like the 5-attack jaguar in the beginning of the Kangmaker  with added immunity to the most IWin nukes of the NWN2 wiz/sorc arsenal)

The Goddess came back.
It was a god initially and it was replaced with a goddess by Ao, so no, it's not really telling anything. And later that goddess got bitchslapped and destroyed by a minor/half-god Helm and replaced by a mediocre female Human wizard with a penchant for furries

Scorrching Ray does slightly more damage to tough units but it doesn't prevent the "click for 50 turns to kill a stack" issues.

Goddess actually. Mystryl was a gal. And Mystra IS Mystryl's reincarnation so no, she actually came back.

Also, the 2nd time she was forcibly made mortal by the Top God. Mortal killed by a God. Pretty sure that puts a dent in your logic.

All I'm saying is Karsus' Folly is not a good pick here since he ultimately failed, and the being he was trying to replace came back.

Did you clear everything else before attacking the Gargoyles and did you have a mage general?

Few rays killed the stack for me.

From a roleplay standpoint. If you play a Paladin do you have to SIMP for the Queen? Is anything else out of the question?

This is how you clear a stack:

Marksmen.jpg

Marksman stack averages well over 30k damage per shot, shoot 3 times at the start of a battle due to high morale, 3 stacks cleared.

This is my Level 11 army vs a Level 13 demon army, btw.

Well, that is how it works in tabletop so no surprise.

There's a build floating around the internet that revolves around using vital strike/shot with a double barrel shotgun.

I'm not making this up.

So what's the general consensus on mounts, so far? Are they broken?

Paladin just hit lvl 5 and I'm trying to figure out what to take, animal companion or divine weapon bond. But I remember reading (maybe in this thread? Can't find it) that mounted combat is hosed up and annoying. Also, I have the talking weapon and great sword form, which I suppose I will use indefinitely. So, not sure if the divine bond with weapon would be overkill.

So far, game isn't bad.

Most feats for them are broken and you have to re-mount constantly, so just for convenience it is probably better to go with a weapon bond.
