Plz, come closer to my level 10 Vivisectionist/Slayer/Monk and let's discuss robes. 6 attacks per round, 5d6 sneak attack, 38 AC when not even trying, 50% concealment, Stoneskin.

I know, that's for phags. Couldn't bother for my first blind playthrough to fight both bugs and enemies with some quirky build so, fite me.

Casters can use armor. The reason which most don't use is simple. We don't need it.

My DDO char

No, seriously, and you call martials stupid while playing one-button pew-pew "supragenius wizzord". Both my paladin and fighter-inquisitor in ddo has more buffs to press at the start of dungeon than all your buttons combined. Probably my inquisitor has higher int too. And she's a fucking lvl 18 fighter/2 rogue.

In some of my playthroughs I would on purpose give all companions classes with heavy armors and dress them all up in full plates or minimum mail. Daeran would whine like bitch and crawl with his puny strength gettin cooked in full plate, and I would whip his ass and shout to move or I also make him carry Ember on his shoulders and her baggage, until he grows into a man (if that could ever happen).

As a guy that started playing D&D when playing a plain fighter made sense, I feel you both. The proble is that, in current year, if you want to play a front line char, you need to be a gish of some sort or to nerf the difficulty level into oblivion. Unfortunately the game is balanced around frontliners able to reach ungodly levels of AC and simply avoid as many attacks as possible via reach/concealment. Enemy numbers are also super-inflated, a common problem in any D&D crpg derivate. The underlying formulas the players need to dick around remain the same so degenerate classes are favoured simply because it's less of a chore to play with an uber tank or an ungodly number of summons or whatever...

I thought you still have your clothes on when you do them asstral projections

No. I won't fite you AGAIN on the topic of wizards and robes and buttsecs. You already won dat argument wehn I was discussing Mondblut last year or so. Be an honorable barbarian and don't gloat over past victories.

(Also this is an Alchemist we're discussing here. He does drugs)

I just don't have everything in my screen. I have 6 "pages" of buffs in CTRL 2/3/4/5/6/7. The skeleton pet and vampire form which I have are in my 3rd bar.

Yep. Fighter is a "tutorial class".

Sadly, it seems that Mythic Vital Strike still doesn't work properly with the Paladin's Smite Evil. It should multiply the damage bonus from Smite Evil (because it's a flat bonus that gets multiplied with a critical hit), but right now it only gets added once. Here I have a level 8 Paladin with a normal flat bonus to damage of +26. With Mythic Vital Strike, the damage bonus becomes +52, and with Smite Evil it should become +68. However, it's only +60:

Spoiler, I guess

Haplo Desiderius am I missing something?

Sorry, no idea. I haven't cleared Act 1 yet, btw ;)
But it does sound like a bug, IMO it should be multiplied. Might be worth reporting it.

There's more issues.
Rowdy Vital Force seems to add 2d6 damage per sneak dice - regardless if the attack qualifies as sneak attack or not :) ...or whether the enemy can even be hit with sneak attacks :)

My Sohei doesn't seem to get his Wis AC bonus :(
Initial Charge to open combat seems fixed (yes, finally!), but mid-combat Charges in Turn Based mode still fail and cause loss of round(s) sometimes.

Some nice C&C, from the Molten Scar encounter in A3, the talkative Vrock:

As a trickster, he can join you as a dragon in the last assault.

I wonder how high you will be able to get it here - my MW 20 / Trickster does 2500 on GVS with a Scythe, probably gets a lot higher than that with optimization.

Not sure about the loss of rounds - from what I've seen it happens when your character has already acted in a turn.

An impressive number for sure.

As for my concept, not sure if I want to keep going with it. Walk to the enemy -> VS. A bit boring. Especially that I was doing mostly same trough a large part of Kingmaker also.
With little changing between level 5 and 15 (sure more buffs, defenses, etc.). And when you miss that 1 attack you had that round it really hurts. And I tend to miss quite a bit on challenging enemies on Hard (although things could improve later with Outflank, Freebooter bonuses and eventually Shatter Defenses).

In that respect your Mutation Warrior with his weapon training and full BAB sounds nicer - much better AB, gets Improved VS sooner (although still not as fast as a dedicated Rowdy :P).
Also should be more damaging in the long run - since sneak damage isn't (shouldn't be) multiplied on crits. So even having extra 100-300 damage is peanuts compared with what you achieve with crits.
Although its reliability is nice - very solid damage without critting.

If I were to maximize VS damage, I'd need to squeeze 4 levels of Sword Saint somewhere for Perfect Strike+Critical.
With Mythic Arcane Pool bonuses, it should be even more viable vs tough cookies.

Desiderius what do you think about mythic abilities for melee characters? I picked Unrelenting Assault expecting more encounters like the tavern assault, but it has been extremely underwhelming for the entire act 2. Mythic Charge sounds great, but I never charge because I usually just move + Vital Strike / Great Cleave, and I don't have a Skald to get Pounce. Then there are Leading Strike, Ever Ready, and Rupture Restraints. I like all of them, any thoughts? I'd pick Rupture Restraints, but it sounds like a very weird thing to implement and I wouldn't bet on it being bugs-free.

What about picking Enduring Spells on a Paladin? You could persist Veil of Heaven and Veil of Positive Energy, then with Greater Enduring Spells there are Crusader's Edge, Archon's Aura, and Bestow Grace. Again, it sounds a bit like a waste, but I don't what else to pick. I will definitely go for Abundant Smite, but later down the line. By the way, is Crusader's Edge working correctly for you? The nauseating effect works, but I can't seem to get the bane property.

Btw you should transfer to argo and join codexia. I see you are just running solo even without ship buff. In codexia you will run solo but with some shitty ship buffs!

Ending is great, dunno what people are complaining about.

Some slides seem slightly off, nothing major.

Man, I just started Act 3 but Trickster is shaping up to be the honkster I always dreamt to be. The opening scene in the closet is more or less a small version of the Kodex, with less namecalling. Socothbenoth can be considered the mandatory forum tranny.
