Hey guys, this game is trash. First, it has trannies in it. Second, it has number inflation. Go on, refute the central point of this well-structured argument, I dare you!

I've never liked AC being a representation of both armour and your ability to evade.

There was an unchained alt ruleset for PF that replaced armour bonuses with DR that could stack with class features, it ended up being way too complicated and unbalanced though.

IIRC it was awful for light armour/dex based characters and amazing for martials in medium or heavy armour.
Well, armor IS better for fighting... it wouldn't have been used otherwise, but I get your point. Frankly, I gave up in trying to find realism in tabletop games; what you want is believability.

I'm tempted to try running a game with the alt ruleset again in the future, but maybe only if people are mostly rolling armoured characters.

Arcane casters don't matter so much as they have a trillion other defensive layers over AC anyway.

Personally I like:
1) Full Scale RPG TM (in Encased, you can't sneak around in heavy armor in ventilation shafts, must leave it)
2) BG1 - a fighter in good armor is the most effective combat unit on the battlefield, although wizards can cc them, Rogues can help party in some other manner like using skills/items (and generally could be buffed, but please, please no ROGUE IS DPS CLASS). also could be good at sneaking into wizards tent and cutting his throat before combat. But that again brings us to Full Scale RPG TM.

what I dont like
monks
rogue being DPS class.
fighter/mages (although in the 9 level spells system, I think it would be ok for all fighters to have 4 levels of "petty magic", which could depend on their race and background - like barbarian using herbs to turn into berserk potions, wood elf crafting magical tattoos of power, or ranger having a small pet familiar to help with exploration; like an advanced cantrips system - D&D worlds are usually too magically rich for completely 0% magick fighters).

In the end, everything is fine, as long as Wizard is still the best class.

you have no problem whatsoever with shilling for fucking Fallout 4 and 76.
Wait... a person so outraged by WotR shills for DoS-2 and Fallout's after New Vegas? Now this is funny.

Thank you. It's enlightening when the information about a... a famous person, so to speak, is given in wider context across the Codex.

I was pissed about Black Water's enemies because of that high AC until i remembered that Ember is more than just a Fire Nuke and has AC debuff.. Black Water was a piece of cake with Evil Eye.
Evil Eye is stonk.

Their Will saves are VERY low.

What are rogues supposed to do when everyone else gets access to the same skills, often better access?

PF is pretty good at making rogues not be a dead weight.

Meh, I don't like how a miniboss is time-gated, meaning that if you do TOO well and are too fast, you aren't going to see him. Obviously this is minor since it's very early game, but still

I don't get it. They don't let you use divine spells from the lich spellbook if you merge it with an arcane class (they don't even give you the don't know arcane spells, only the lich unique ones), but they also don't let you use your favorite/specialized school spell slot on necromancy for the arcane necro spells the lich book gives. What it's the point of going necro specialist since the start then? You better go anything else (there are by far better specialist school powers that the ones necro get), pick any school focus feats that are not necro and then, when you go lich just pick the mythic feat that gives all the schools feats that you got to be applied to another school too(necro for the case).

I was so hyped to be able to go beyond CL 20 but the more i understand how the game it's working the more i'm being disappointed. It was so much asking to no be gimped choosing the more obvious path? Like at last let me use the fuking school slots if the spells are all from the fucking necromancer school wich i was specialized since lvl1.

I needed to rant. Sorry.

The real under lying problem is HIGH FANTASY.

There's several RPG systems that use a dual system: dodging + resistance to damage and they work properly, the problem though is when you go into high fantasy worlds. D&D3.5 and Pathfinder "epic" levels breaks all balance in any armour system and there's plenty of value bloat flying around just to race against ever increasing DPS.

You can compare that to Runequest's system i.e., there while levelling held meaning, becoming a demi god was out for the question, meanwhile a level 20 character in Pathfinder can kill literally thousands of level 1 fodder.

The game made this really neat setup of having to disarm generators to disable Tesla Canons and disable the force shield that Hundred Face is inside but then my character just Cast Haste, Use Demonic Charge inside the Field and two round kill him...

LMAO Well Played Owlcat.

Is it normal to suffer so much as a necromancer in crusader mode?? I get 5 units weekly reinforcement and sometimes after battle I get between 20 and 40 basic undead troops. I also got 15 vampires in an event but they aren't anything special so the whole time I had to rely on random mercenaries. A I doing something wrong here?

yes you are wasting your time on crusade mode instead instaling auto win mode

I like both kingdom management and crusade management and want more of it. :)

You will need to combine everything together as Necro. But in the end it does not really matter, your army leader mage will kill most with nuke spells.

So, what does "100AC" represent in Pathfinder? Surely it's not just some silly anime-tier powerlevel number that keeps going up with no real meaning... right?

You must be a big fan of 5E, since the concept of "bounded accuracy" is built on that very argument.

Speaking of weirdly statted enemies - I really don't like how they've implemented a Skyrim-esque difficulty set-up where late level generic mooks will be individually way more powerful than the bosses you fight earlier (who, by lore, should be far more powerful).

The enemy difficulty don't directly scales to your level, but they do scale pretty linearly with the game, without care for narrative weight or immersion of any kind. I don't recall them doing this as much in Kingmaker.

The mooks you fight at the end of Act 5 will way higher stats than the Demon Lord bosses you fight earlier (Baphomet, Deskari, Areshkagal, etc.) The Gallu Stormcallers have 1500 hp (maybe double the demon lords?), and none of the Demon Lords have the 80-ish AC that the Vavakia Vanguard has
