Does someone know how to fix the bug where your character portrait turns white ? I found some suggestions to go to Hilor and retrain but Hilor is gone in my game. Is there another way to fix it ? The bug was so powerful that affected even multiple old savegames reaching back hours, so reloading an old game is also out of question.

I this happens if the file at C:\Users\(Your PC Name)\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous\Portraits gets fucked. Find out which file is used, delete it and insert a new one, and you should have a working portrait again. Can also be used to change portraits mid game without respec. At least if it is the same bug as in Kingmaker, didn't have it in Wrath yet.
Windows+R > enter %appdata% to get to the hidden AppData folders, if someone is not a techie and nonetheless has the bug.

I had that idea actually and have already checked it. The directory is empty for me and I'm using a standard portrait, no custom portrait. I don't think the default portraits are stored there but I could be wrong. Should the folder always contain portraits ?

Also, the white portrait bug seems to be triggered when you're offered a new portrait when leveling MP and you chose to retain your old portrait instead. The game will go on as usual before you restart the game. Also, why is Hilor unavailable? He should hang out at inn/tavern until the end of the game unless you specifically told him to fuck off.

Well, when I looked what time it was, I noted 1.5 hours after I had started the fight. Again, why is this something I'd lie about? r00fles!

I don't think you read my posts very carefully. We were all 3rd and 4th level while it's a CR 6 creature, I believe. Out of spells. No way I'm going to send the paladin in there to attempt to tank the thing head-on. I just let the NPCs go down one by one while I kept ranging it. It took about ten volleys to finally drop it.

Again, read. I had Entangle and Pit spells set up. They were very effective at first, but they expired. It was too hectic to attempt to run back over there and re-cast something as small an area as Grease with a wand, btw. Duh.

No, I did not even think about anyone using default portraits, ever.
Then that solution becomes unviable.
Hilor can be very hidden, he is in the inn, upstairs, next to Nenio hidden by camera rotation.

I don't blame you for not reading any of the story in chapter 1, because I assume this is your autoimmune response to the trash on the screen kicking in, but the half-orc that gets congratulated for your amazing efforts tells you before the attack that you do have time to rest, if you ask her.

Now... the only thing that I have to warn you about, is that this selective autism, autoimmune response or perfectly timed dementia should stop as soon as you hit chapter 2, because that's when Amber Scott's involvement dissipates.

A cursory google search brought me to this thread to change default portraits.
Helclaeynn in that thread figured out how to change default portrait to custom in Kingmaker.
looks a bit daunting but playing around in the .json is not that hard, I did it to monitor progress for Kingmaker secret ending. That is if the file names are similar in Wrath however, otherwise prepare for butthurt and headaches.

Hilor was at first floor of the inn in Drezen at some point. But right now he's gone. I have gotten a letter from him that says I should meet him to discuss something with him and the quest marker exclamation mark is shown on the city map at the inn. But as one can see on the images, he's not there. The quest "Chasing the Spinner of Nightmares" is still active and says I should talk to him but gives no clue where he is. I assumed he should be at the location where the quest marker appears as with all other quests so far.

It seems that he bugged out of game, happened to me with the succbus girl. God, how fucked is this game?

That lich burst is a bit shit tbh.

It can be used for AoE damage and AoE heal at the same time, your spell is a single target spell.

Lich burst deals up to 340 damage, but needs a save. There's an AoE version of that angel spell too. The AoE version can deal up to 822 damage when maximised and empowered, or ~500 on average when Empowered, but not maximised. If I don't take "Favorite Metamagic: Empowered" and instead use Bolstered, it deals ~470 on average. Granted, it's 1d10 against Demons, but they're the most common enemy.
It does need some setting up tho, buildwise. Lich works a bit better right out of the box with no dips.

For me a messanger came to me out in the city and told me I need to come back to help with defense and I had option to just ignore him and go my way. I didn't choose it, I will when I do my Demon or Trickster run. I wonder what happens if you just ignore that attack for a while.

Paladin with a Glaive due to good loot and smite evil?
Cleric merge spellbook angel with a glaive?
Some Slayer or Vivisectionist dip fueled nightmare?

My conscience is clean. I did write down that there is literally one RPG that got away with infinite spawns, and that's P:T. Everyone else should probably not do that unless they aim to be better than P:T. But they did it anyway.

Is this after mythic rank 8-9? I think the issue is caused by the game removing reference path to portrait in game's savefile.

I have not played many casters yet, but as far as melee goes, imho - nothing from other Mythic Paths could really compare with up to 50% crit rate with x4+ multiplier that Trickster could get through Improved Improved Crit line. Also, two-handers with PA >> dual wielding.

Thanks for the link. I'll try it sometimes but at the moment I'm to lazy to dig up the proper portrait id in an old save. While not knowing if that will fix the problem or if it is caused by something else entirely.
