So what would you folks say is the strongest overall main character build for unfair?

Paladin with a Glaive due to good loot and smite evil?
Cleric merge spellbook angel with a glaive?
Some Slayer or Vivisectionist dip fueled nightmare?

I have not played many casters yet, but as far as melee goes, imho - nothing from other Mythic Paths could really compare with up to 50% crit rate with x4+ multiplier that Trickster could get through Improved Improved Crit line. Also, two-handers with PA >> dual wielding.

Still worse than straight Fighter archer unless melee has a Epic Charge ability that works like Pounce.

Does someone know how to fix the bug where your character portrait turns white ? I found some suggestions to go to Hilor and retrain but Hilor is gone in my game. Is there another way to fix it ? The bug was so powerful that affected even multiple old savegames reaching back hours, so reloading an old game is also out of question.

Is this after mythic rank 8-9? I think the issue is caused by the game removing reference path to portrait in game's savefile.

Yes, I am mythic rank 9. Strangely enough, the bug did not immediately occur after getting the selection screen for a new portrait upon reaching the new mythic rank. I think it happened some time afterwards. Or perhaps it only "manifested" after I restarted the game and not during the ongoing game session, that could have been also the case.

Woljif: Abundant Casting + Sorcerors Reflex = zillions of Vanish spells to cast as a swift action whenever, even after the full attack + Outflank feat for team mates = heavy profit?

You can also mix True Strike in there somehow, if the enemy can see through invis.

Btw on hard i wasn't able to hit playful darkness even fully buffed (including legendary proportions) + guarded heart + inspiring command + mark of justice,
I solved the issue using a combination of summons, blade barriers, pillars of life (that I take shouldn't be stacking?), fireballs with ascendant fire and cave traps, + seelah taking the pain with last stand.

You can probably kill him with channel cheese. It doesn't have to hit and ignores SR afair. That's how I had to finish him once he was down but not dead anyway.

And this Fighter Archer would still want to be a Trickster for insane crits.

For melee, Spirited Charge from Mounted line is kinda nuts since its x2 damage multiplier seem to work on top of your normal crit multiplier (so like x4x2 =x8) AND applied to all AoO and Cleaves you make in the same round. Implementation is beyond the weird though and the perfect example of Owlcats being Owlcats.

True Sight is either bugged or "creative mechanics" in terms of it works "properly" according to some interpretations of the rules, but doesn't work how you would imagine it should, or how it worked in earlier editions of D&D. It doesn't stop Displacement on creatures that is inherent/an abstraction of something other than invisibility like creatures that are displaced because they exist on another plane etc. It does work against concealment from invisibility, but a lot of the worst enemies for this have innate concealment that is not defeated by True Sight. I've heard blindsense/darksense stuff gets around this, not an expert on it though.

Also, the white portrait bug seems to be triggered when you're offered a new portrait when leveling MP and you chose to retain your old portrait instead. The game will go on as usual before you restart the game. Also, why is Hilor unavailable? He should hang out at inn/tavern until the end of the game unless you specifically told him to fuck off.

Hilor was at first floor of the inn in Drezen at some point. But right now he's gone. I have gotten a letter from him that says I should meet him to discuss something with him and the quest marker exclamation mark is shown on the city map at the inn. But as one can see on the images, he's not there. The quest "Chasing the Spinner of Nightmares" is still active and says I should talk to him but gives no clue where he is. I assumed he should be at the location where the quest marker appears as with all other quests so far.

I think Owlcat Games are past the stage of facepalms. They have 3 years of Kingmaker spider swarms behind. They know that a modern gamer is a moron who lives only because there were no major wars during the last 80 years.

So i am sure most people just stood behind the line to take as minimum damage possible. The overtuned npcs certainly doesnt encourage charging in the open and kill the arsonists.

Sorcerous Reflex only works for the first spell you cast, though.

I think general experience with videogames is enough to suggest even to mouthbreathers that they are expected to hold off the attacks. Even in CoD your guys stay in cover and wait for you to push.
