Yeah, what I'm doing now is blast with the general and archers while keeping the archers surrounded by shieldbearers and hellknights. BTW how do I split a unit in two parts? Shift + drag?
why waste an army slot?

I currently have 93 shieldbearers, 40-something hellknights, 13 or so champions and 93 archers. I added the champions because I wanted to have my archers in a corner on the map surrounded by other units on all sides.

Does picking mythic powers for the first time, after Gray Garrison, lock you out from the other paths further on?
The first trickster power (mirror image) seem to complement my tank the most, but I might not necessarily want to align myself with the trickster faction.

I thought the same as you and picked the mirror image instead of the additional demonic attack because I thought it was needed for trickster.
Apparently its not needed.

Also its a bit useless because as trickster you get access to mirror image later, so meh.

Do we know all the Optional Bosses there are are in Chapter 1? I'm aware of
The vrock you have to summon and the post-defense nabasu in the marketplace.
What other ones are there?

Succubus is optionally isn’t it? At Irabeth’s house?

Chivarro fight might be the hardest fight I have encountered so far. Cannot do shit vs the babau infiltrators, bbl (hope I get a level or some gear to deal with it)

Everyone says that wizards are OP, but this game seems way easier in melee. In fact, most CRPG's are.
It's a bullshit from people who are frequently resting, reloading, and know how would that combat looks like.
In this game you frequently have spell resistance 19.
Spell resistance is not an issue, or it is only an issue early game. And even then your main control spell (grease) doesn't even require a spell res check. Between spell pen feats, elf racials, mythic spell pen, and a lot of mythic path related abilities that give you extra way of going over spell res, spell res is just not an issue. Not to mention the game gives you access to a lot of spell pen gear at vendors (a robe in A2, googles and 2 rings in A3), that's + 7 only from vendor gear. You should try and actually play a caster instead of just repeating reddit circlejerks. And yeah surprise surprise, for your caster to do something, you need to buy him gear.
The main hard thing casters have to deal with are immunities and wizard are well equipped to deal with that since they can change their spell list with a rest.
So instead of playing powerful mage, I should play a person dependent on a powerful items?

I guess playing a person who looted whole city and can shower stuff with looted money is possible.

Woljif caught a nasty disease and I ignored it because I did not intend to use him after the tavern siege.
He died because of the stat drain. But that didn't stop someone from dragging his lifeless corpse to Daeran's party.

Now that I am playing around in Abyss city I can say that this game is copying BG2 a lot. Abyss city is basically Drow city from BG2. It also happens at same time in the story. And the Mythic paths are basically Strongholds from BG2, they got about same amount of content.
And spellcasters are cheating like in BG2 with casting lots of buffs and spells at same time. And in most battles enemy casters also fuck me up.

On Core this game is much harder than PK1, at lvl 15 in PK1 was strolling through content easily.

Are they rebalancing enemies constantly or something? I don't remember having problems with Pain Connoisseur incubus, but now I had to turn on TB.

Edit: Or maybe not. I think he just wasn't able to cast buffs last time.

Reminder that if you beat the game using turn-based then you basically just beat it on easy mode!
It doesn't count!

god why the fuck did I stubbornly insist on never switching to turn-based I'm such a retard, IT ISN'T WORTH IT

What the Abyss city reminds me of the most is actually Nar Shaddaa in Kotor 2. You arrive in a seedy underbelly kind of town and try to get the attention of the local boss, either by currying his/her favor or busting enough heads.

PK1 was kind of easy mode, PK2 it lots of fun on TB. I had a lot of close battles on Core or where I needed to reload once I see what kind of tools enemies have.

The vatnik cattle that coded the last patch must have been overdosing on the cheapest crocodil they could find. Holy shit, the more I play the more bugs come out. This patch, oracles receive fewer spells than the patch before. Last patch, a lvl 9 oracle had 4 level 2 spells, but in this patch you'll only get 2. 1 bug fixed, two dozens new bugs introduced.
Chances are, the game checks whether an oracle should get new spells on levelup by counting how many spells he already has. But the retards over at Owlcat forgot the fact that oracles can get spells from prophecies, mysteries and healing/wounding spells, so now it just adds all those extra spells and doesn't allow oracles to get new ones.

In other words, if you're on patch 1.0.6 then you better stay on 1.0.6 because 1.0.7 is a hot fucking mess.
