Owlcat balancing for munchkin players isn't my jam

I prefer pure RP builds over pure power gamer builds HOWEVER, it is actually a good thing. Less chance of going PF2e or D&D 5e. Nobody deserves low CR enemies soaking multiple finger of death spells. In 5e, you have CR 4 spiders with almost 150 hp(the same hit points which Vecna, the demigod lich had in 2E), it is enough to be shot by 6 9 pound cannon assuming average damage(22) and survive as if is nothing.
There's no CR4 spider in 5E , theres the CR3 phase spider 32hp (5D10+3) , the max hp of a cR 4 monster is around 76... For the thousand times there's no hp bloat with 5E, but at this point i know almost nothing will convince you except something like some china reeducation camp for years .

Really like this game but holy shit some encounter seems were made fucking monkeys... The quest ''The Price of Loyalty'' is painfully not Play tested, can't imagine a Caster surviving that quest.

Edit: Thank god this game's turn based and RTWP was made by the same monkeys, so that let me exploit this shit and avoid dying in one turn. Fuck.

Yeah, my MC was a full fighter, and still would have problems if most of the enemies wouldn't focus on Greybor who had Last Stand, would be insane on a caster.

You could probably try to farm a random encounter very close to the location, and use the opportunity to prebuff with longer lasting shit. The triceratops statuette could also help I guess. Still would be hard if you lose the initiative roll tho.

Good job devs, in a game with Demons the most disgusting living creature is
Camellia

I mean, Minahgo boiled a man alive for 3 days and then force fed his remains to the poor bastards soldiers.....
Camellia was designed in a lab to turn the player into Staunton. And the best thing is that it works. Posters had a meltdown for weeks when people datamined the

'no you can't redeem camellia with your dick. get fucked coomer. lmao. ending'.

I had no problems on my sorcerer, Stormbolt is as potent in Wrath as it was in Kingmaker. And there's always the Wrath of the Undead cloak which fears everything in a 60 feet radius (I imagine that one will get nerfed at some point).

Why would you try to save her? She was one of the few alive at the end of my demon run.

Does anyone know the convoluted series of steps you have to take to make sure
Irabeth and Galfrey survive Iz.
Not because I care about them or anything, but I want them both to live long enough for me to
Thank them properly for being such good friends as a Lich/Demon/Swarm/Devil etc.

Probably been mentioned a lot of times but: There's a decent amount of reactivity based on your god. But like the mythic paths, how much reactivity is highly variable. It's still a very nice touch though.
My lich started as a Gozreh-worshipping sorc so most memorable is buff in Leper's smile. Gorum is ok, though
I had to restrain from simply charging at the dragon after all the skill checks for careful ambush. Gorum worshipping shouldn't automatically make you braindead.
Mostly several unvoiced lines or minor buffs, it wouldn't cost them much to expand list of deities, add some empyreal lords, demon lords, etc.
Instead Mishulin in his wisdom cut Deskari, Baphomet and Kabriri from the alpha and added only fedora-tipping option and the Godclaw (for Regill), and if you go LG angel you're railroaded by everyone into picking the impostah(tm).
I assume she will be your source of power storywise anyway, but I'll go with the Godclaw or Irori.

One of the best things about lichdom was
completely rejecting this circus of a pantheon, including Pharasma.
I'll miss it.
Makes me wonder if lich has the true best ending even without all that "secret" stuff.

But why boil a man for 3 days? Was she trying to make холодец (aspic)?

Anyway, my hero would like to taste it.

Because the man was resistant to heat due to his faith, and as such it was an EXTREMELY prolonged torture session.

Because people like Minahgo get off on that sort of thing.

Also, fun little thing I just discovered.
Asking the herald to heal you in the abyss evidently counts as resting for Trickster Nature lore

Infinite money exploit.

Dude... why is it that every single fucking advisor that I have is a complete grass-eating cow compared to Regill? How have these people not gone extinct by this point?

Wow... !

Wow... !

Lann (of all people) is pretty fucking metal when it comes down to it.

Traitors? Hang em high.

Thieves? Hang em high.

Deserters? Hang em high.

Non-punishment related?

Not enough supplies - Teach them to live off the land (If Lann can eat that purple moss then EVERYBODY can).

etc...

In case anyone was wondering whether or not the game had Soviet roots. I guess boiling your boots and shooting people to keep them charging in the right direction would be too on the nose.

I have a better system.

Traitors? Kill then and reanimate then as undead

Manlets? Kill then and reanimate then as undead

If you do Regill's final quest as a 20+ Legend, when he gets added back into your party his exp will be set to the same amount of exp you have, which will bump his level to 20 immediately but sadly not any higher. For a brief moment I got very excited about the prospect of a level 40 Regill :(.

Regill is a gnome. Gnomes are the unique manlet race which should be allowed to live. Jubilost and Regill made me rethink about my hatred towards manlets.

Thing is, I also like Greybor and I even kinda liked Harrim (in a "he amuses me" kind of way).

They're miles ahead of crap like Octavia and Sosiel.

Normally, what you do is if Irabeth likes you, she doesn't even follow Galfrey to Iz (she'll be in Drezen). Then Galfrey can survive if you've either gave her the Lexicon (which she'll give back to you on a Good path), or you rush to her first. The latter will block the secret ending since going to Galfrey first means an important key gets destroyed in the research notes area. However, you can apparently cheese that by going to the library and swiping the required key, without confronting the boss there (haven't tried this).

If Irabeth doesn't like you she'll follow the queen and die in her stead - I think you can still save them both if you rush to them, but once again, you can lose out on the secret ending.

Saving both and keeping the secret ending might be tough to do on an evil path though because it'll probably be hard to get Irabeth to like you and I'm not sure if you can get the Lexicon back after giving it to Galfrey (even if you kill her).
