Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Bubbles In Memoria

Looks like the inside of a dome. And maybe that's some kind of platform where you grow things, like round trees or food, perhaps? Making me think it's a weird (alien?) builder of some kind.

Since they posted it from Phoenix Point handle hopefully it is PP2 related.

They probably forgot that Snapshot Games has its own Twitter account. :shittydog:

Anyone like this game? Has it changed much since release?
A lot of issues have been fixed, I also played it in 2023 i.e. 4 years after release. No real bugs anymore except ones you're supposed to shoot. It's fun if a bit overstaying its welcome with the campaign. Mods probably fix that

Btw I was also butthurt about Epic-first, to the point of withdrawing my pledge, but I got over it :o

There's Terror from the Void overhaul mod - that's suppose to be the way to play the PP. From the description it's the closes to the original vision there can be. Overhauls few mechanics, drops the doomsday clock, new mechanics. Although I'm not the fan of delirium.

At first I thought that it was a Dyson Sphere but something is off. And it certainly doesn't seem related to PP2 at all.

I went to snapshot forums to check for any announcements there and they are completely and utterly dead. Found this post there dated june 2024 with no replies.

Hello there, :slightly_smiling_face:

I am excited :grinning: to be part of this community and dive into discussions about all things gaming. As a new member, I am eager to learn the ropes and connect with like minded individuals.

Could anyone guide me on how to ask questions and where to post queries ? I have some thoughts and questions about Snapshot Games’ titles that I’d love to discuss with you all.

Looking forward to engaging with everyone and being part of this dynamic gaming community. :innocent:

Best regards,
James

Could be 2K has them making a new X-COM game.

Seems like a lot of the XCOM team left Firaxis Games back in 2022 and 2023, so if 2K wanted another X-COM they may have went to an outside studio. And if you’re going to an outside studio, may as well go to the one run by the creator of the series you’re doing something with. If it is an X-COM game, could also just be something that started because 2K’s internal team at Firaxis was working on Marvel Midnight Suns.

Yeah, that is not a winning aesthetic. It's going to cause a lot of people to overlook whatever this is they're working on. If the gameplay is great I could look past it myself, but it's certainly not helping me get excited.

Looks absolute rubbish really, though gameplay over graphics every time. But the choice of colors, horribly flat lighting, lack of shadows, and just a general feel of cheap plastic toys doesn't look promising.
