Mediocre BOW damage

Arbalests and Guns are wtfpwnage.

I've already made a suggestion to stop kiting / Josh's replies, and I posted it earlier in this thread.

Strafers and glass cannons, then?

The main thing preventing kiting is that a full party of strafers (or even a majority) would get crushed by any decent enemy groups, especially versus highly mobile or tough monsters... else not be able to actually take down said enemy group.

Even if they could, if someone really wants to play the game spending 3x as long plinking away and kiting every encounter, that's their choice and a clearly suboptimal one.

Seriously guys. Do I have to explain the joke?

Also stop the fucking semantic discussion about cooldowns. Jesus fuck.

At least this game will be better than Star Citizen.

Let's see now, complaining that no one gets your incredibly lame joke; demanding that people stop discussing things you don't like (although the discussion had already changed, so I suppose you're complaining just to complain); dragging your day-old grudge from the D:OS thread over here in the form of a completely off-topic, passive-aggressive jibe involving an entirely different game; holding pathetic Internet forum grudges to begin with; and double-posting.

:butthurt:

Yeah I pointed that out, enemies above four usually solves the issue initially as well as size of navmesh around the encounter, and speed of enemies and all that stuff.

So... the cRPG specialists around here are also connoisseurs in space simulators?!
Who would have thought!

I don't think so. CS:GO feels like a console game to me and the mouse input system is horribly laggy. I don't even really like CS:S (I'm a CS1.5/1.6 guy) but I would rather play that any day over CS:Go

Dude since you're the expert round these parts, I wish to play a good new pretty SP shooter. Is there any? No fucking crisis or CoD or FarCock. I want to shoot people in the face. What are the alternatives these days? Something with 9 guns and a progression from a knife to a BFG

Nothing

I played competitive multiplayer FPS, haven't played any FPS single player since Call of Duty 1. Can't really help ya there bud. Used to enjoy UT2004 SP though, but that's not a campaign, it's just progression against bots.

Are my ranged dudes (the majority of the team) supposed to run around nekkid throughout the entire game? Really?

Yea, but don't worry, your melee dudes too, all but the tanks :)

As a side note, my current "testing party", after having survived some crazy shitspitting insta-kill crazyness with armor equivalent to modern tanks, now finds itself without any camping supplies left and none whatsoever anywhere in the world/merchants/etc.
How anyone can wrap around a good "gameplay" logic that makes "running full speed across empty maps to zone, loading zone, running full speed across empty maps to zone, loading zone (x2+), click on rent room button, then do the whole running and loading zone to get back into the action" is beyond me. Couple hours in and already using a save game editor to avoid sheer frustration with that.

JES solved the 'resting after every encounter exploit' by making this option so obnoxious to use that most people will prefer to stop playing the game altogether instead of resorting to it. ;)

Another success to mark on the list of improvements over IE games. :P

Heh.

Worst part is most of the time I have to go back because one of my character is really screwed with Health, even though I got plenty spells/abilities left for that "adventuring day".

Apparently I'm expected to split damage among the entire group, I just cannot wrap my head around not trying to keep mobs locked down by my two tanks in supra heavy armor and shield, and instead send my mage and cleric in padded armor to take the brunt of the damage.

Anyway, rambling! :)

You should probably just switch the armor and weapon on characters - give the melee weapon and plate to the current tank (i.e. the character with the most healt at the moment).

Although, now that I think of it, this does make the game being less about tactical class-based combat and more about tactical equipment-based combat, as the flesh inside the armor is interchangeable.

Instead of trying to split oncoming damage, just use crowd control attacks and debuffs. Wizard/rogue type squishies really go down quick if enemy focuses on them which lefts you with only tankers.
