Does bonescraper have some kind of point? Does anyone actually want "AAA" obsidian games?

The Infinity Engine nostalgia will be driving the sales on this. I expect it to do very very well.
Too late: http://me.ign.com/en/pc/77585/feature/divinity-original-sin-feels-like-a-modern-baldurs

Did you just quote IGN?

And D:OS is nothing like BG anyway. I know it's personal opinion but really: story is shit, graphics are for 6 years old, combat is console gimmick crap.
No idea where anyone would find even the slightest vibe of BG/IE games in D:OS.

I want to see what an unrestrained Obsidian can do. Like Fallout: New Vegas without the F3 baggage.

D:OS was mediocre and had no where near same pre-release hype. Of course PoE is going to outsell it.

Letting Paradox handle all the boxed/Euro side of things was a pretty suave deal as well.

Downloading this baby now. Don't have time to play until next week though, going on a ski trip this weekend. I'm reminded of my inner nerd when I realize I'd almost rather play PoE

Am I only one that feels like this Armored Warfare crap is not learning from mistakes of the past where Interplay was earning money on RPG and wasting them on non-RPGs?!

They haven't played the games they name drop. It's only there to make their marketing seem legit.

Even here you have people that think they got some mythical "resident RPG nerd" that lives in their offices to play this. People are gullible.

People whining about the theme again? Didn't we do that last month? I'll repeat what I said then: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...er-keys-available.93694/page-329#post-3736974 +M

I think it's been improved since then, too.

I don't hear anything wrong with it per-say.. I do admit it is pretty forgettable compared to some of the classics / greats I have heard before.. That doesn't mean it's bad though.

D:OS sold around 800K in 6 months will see how PoE compares 6 months from now.

I haven't heard of half the games on that list.. What the fuck is Robocraft? Unturned? What?

I've spent fifteen years waiting for a game like this and now I'll probably complete it within five or six days and then not bother touching it again for several years, even if it turns out great. What the fuck was I hoping for during all those days spent on fucking video game forums and fantasizing about an incline? Six moderately enjoyable days? Fuck everything.
