I've spent fifteen years waiting for a game like this and now I'll probably complete it within five or six days and then not bother touching it again for several years, even if it turns out great. What the fuck was I hoping for during all those days spent on fucking video game forums and fantasizing about an incline? Six moderately enjoyable days? Fuck everything.
Don't be silly. The experience of talking about your fantasies with your comrades is no less valid than the experience of playing a video game, so your time was no less well spent. Of course, you should be outside smelling butterflies and making love to the sky, but I think for most of us that lifestyle ship has sailed. :D

Strap Yourselves In Pathfinder: Wrath
Well, there are always combat re-balance mods for new playthroughs.

Plus, if PoE works out (does well commercially), perhaps we will see a greater willingness to develop these type of RPGs. For that reason, I hope that PoE sells well, not because it deserves it, but because it may put more games in motion. I also would like more than six days of enjoyment.

It will also be interesting to replay the game with mechanical changes that the expansion(s) introduces.

The experience of talking about your fantasies with your comrades

In the codex's case that should read: 'Trawling through comments from autistic holocaust deniers debating area looting as if it's their PTSD trigger'

I backed like $200...still going to try to hold off while I play through Bloodborne. Good news is if I wait there should be a patch or two. I dunno once it releases I'll probably say fuck it and play anyway.

Haven't seen it before. Is there some subtext here, or is it just a cool picture of some cool D&D type characters with a caption of the old sound bite?

They're characters you can recruit in Pillars of Eternity. And they have a similarly worded sound bite in Pillars of Eternity as well.

The Infinity Engine nostalgia will be driving the sales on this. I expect it to do very very well.
Too late: http://me.ign.com/en/pc/77585/feature/divinity-original-sin-feels-like-a-modern-baldurs

Did you just quote IGN?

And D:OS is nothing like BG anyway. I know it's personal opinion but really: story is shit, graphics are for 6 years old, combat is console gimmick crap.
No idea where anyone would find even the slightest vibe of BG/IE games in D:OS.

:bro::bro::bro:

The boy has passion.

D:OS art has nothing to do with the epic art of a Infinity engine game. Its cartoon like ****.

You know, in the real world it's actually considered a bad thing to have an 11 year old rpg forum account with 31,000 posts.
Not really man, you just don't broadcast it to every living thing.

Because it's not looked upon positively?

No, would you broadcast: "Hey guys! I get into pointless internet arguments!" This is a hobby and this is a discussion board for such hobby it is possible to have a balanced life, it's pretty simple logic man.

Mm? That was like 18 months ago.

Besides, I've visited the Codex before 2013. Just never felt like joining a forum that was mostly about reverence for the past. I do my best to avoid reminiscing about how great things used to be.

Note that my presence in threads tapers off sharply after a game is released.
