Seriously though I can barely run Witcher 3 on medium and Pillars 3.0 runs smooth as tits apart from 2-3 levels in WM.
Well that is kind of strange,PoE should be a lot less heavy game than witcher 3,after all the witcher even downgraded is gorgeous game. I run him at medium with a few fps drops when you enter some new cells. Never had any performance issues with PoE,run like butter even if my fan was reciting some summoning spells. And that on gtx580.Seriously though I can barely run Witcher 3 on medium and Pillars 3.0 runs smooth as tits apart from 2-3 levels in WM.
Go to older drivers, the new ones are pretty bad spyware.I am at 341.44 / 353.62 and have no problem with the game.My 980 Ti + 4790k drops to 40fps in Copperlane when there's too many NPCs onscreen. Not only that, but GPU/processor usage is low. Annoys the shit out of me.
lol what the fuckSeriously though I can barely run Witcher 3 on medium and Pillars 3.0 runs smooth as tits apart from 2-3 levels in WM.
In the latter half of PoE I stopped looking inside houses and stuff because the loading times got way too longDissapointed about poor performance reports. One of the biggest issues with the original was its shitty performance, especially the how load times got bigger as you progressed through the game, becoming unbearable by the end.
Fucking unity...
Never had performance problems in Defiance Bay even on launch.

I max out Witcher 3 but PoE 3.0 framerate pretty much never goes beyond ~40, with 25~35 in big towns, after Gilded Vale.
Finished the fight in the Beyond. If the deity weapons hadn't been so OP I don't know if I would've managed to do it with this party tbh. The steady damage just wasn't there. The Evoker was still more useful to debuff than to do damage, the thing she was specialized in doing. Here's the kicker, though, this may be a controversial opinion, but I think many aspects of this combat system are better than P1. It's good that not all parties are viable, it's good that you can't spam spells without a care in the world, it's good that not all character builds are viable, the Empower system is not bad if classes get tweaked a little and the resting limited. What is worse is build options, melee being overpowered compared to spellcasters and Penetration. Neutral or no noticeable change are the attributes, you still dump to your heart's content. The combat needs work, starting with many of the classes, it's still a mess, but it has potential, maybe even the potential to be better than P1.
You mean on the Obs forum? I might do that after they get out the new build and I try that, too, because they probably changed a lot and will update the beta soon with it. I checked the damage done statistics between my Priest and my Druid and it turns out my Priest actually did close to double the damage of my Druid, which I wasn't expecting at all. This may be due to enemies having more HP on PotD, though. The thing is, what felt OP or pointless on Hard made sense on PotD. It's almost like a completely different game, it's mind-boggling. The caster-heavy party was also responsible for that, though, I predict that a melee-heavy runthrough can auto-attack their way to victory.
Well, that gives me a faint glimmer of hope at least. I mostly care about PotD and if the systems kinda make sense and are kinda fun on that difficulty, then I can have decent fun in that game.
However being optimized for PotD does not bode well for the sales. Apparently many people played trough PoE1 with 6 rest supplies...
You've had beta for like 2 days and you've already tested all the 34885 class combinations? Bro. Never go full Sensuki.
I'm mighty tempted to start a new character instead of importing. Has obsidian said anything about the reactivity to an imported character?

They've said you will be able to customize almost all - but perhaps not totally all - choices from the first game in a Dragon Age Keep-like interface when starting a new game.
For the early level range I agree, but similar to PoE1, not all classes are powerful from the start. For example, Priests start out mediocre on PotD and end up one of the stronger classes by late game in my opinion. In contrast, I would argue that Barbarians start out strong and useful, but lag behind the casters (with some exception).Well, that gives me a faint glimmer of hope at least. The problem is that the systems make sense only if you play a caster-heavy party. Some well-built melee-heavy party will be able to autoattack their way to victory even on PotD. That's basically true for Hard as well, while the only challenging fight on Hard was the first ambush with the Lagufaeth (and only because I hadn't figured out the combat and changes yet and it plops you into a very disadvantaged position), I did the rest with no problems because I know what I'm doing and am used to such difficulty in games in general. I don't think normies will be able to handle the optional fights on Hard, unless they randomly stumble on a very optimized party (aka melee-heavy). I don't think I've stressed how terrible offensive casters truly are, they are essentially trash and useless baggage. Single-class Wizards and Ciphers are not viable at all, while most Priests and most Druids are barely useful.
