Wow, this brought me memories of losing a pornhub account due to ruZZian hackers, losing all my carefully made playlists/saved videos.
Why would you admit this?

Pretty much just from yesterday and the morning today. Is this how we want to live?

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
So these fugging codes that I've got...how do they work? I get to login 10 times with each one and then I've got to get ten more like some kind of welfare food stamp?.

The email I use for this site is a pain in the ass. They keep asking me for a security question and I never gave them one in the first place. So I've gotta go all around the houses to login there. And no I don't have a smart phone.

This is all very glowie and suspect. Like they wanna trace the raycissts or something. :argh:

Make the Codex Great Again!
I already had 2FA enabled so didn't notice a thing.

Why all the collosal butthurt? 2FA / MFA is a good thing. I use it wherever possible. Granted, enforcing it is possibly OTT in this case, but I mean get a grip. Install Authy on phone > setup account > spend 10 seconds once a month to enter a 6-digit code.

Hardly the day of judgement, chaps.
Personally, I'm mildly opposed to mandatory 2FA for normal users.

But I wonder how some people on this forum would feel if I personally did not have 2FA enabled. Because let me tell you, without 2FA, somebody would have gotten into my account and fucked this place up years ago, guaranteed. The Internet has become a much nastier place since the days of Mama's Gang. It'd be utter devastation.
If you have a unique password that can't be guessed, then 2FA does nothing for you. If you password is in fact "bibimybro" then yes, 2FA definitely saved the forum more than once

1. The 10 codes you receive when activating 2fa are backups, not your regular login method.
2. Change the email hoster you use. That should be an easy fix for that issue.
3. I don't even get why you have to "go all around the houses".
4. Either use your new email for 2fa-via-mail. Or install the desktop version of authy and use that instead, no smartphone needed.

Even with a strong password, 2FA may still help in rare cases. That is, when you use 2FA via two different devices, and only one of those devices gets compromised.

(though honestly, if that happens, you are probably deeply fucked anyways , but your Codex account will still be save. )
