so maybe 30gb content might be a little exagerated, but wtf is wrong with rpgs with 100 hours playtime? it's like, hey, let's try this game, oh it's over... -.-

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
add pictures to the books, the schematics, weapons, armor and so on and so on...

This is a picture. It is not a small picture. It is probably much larger than pictures you would add to illustrate books and schematics.
Size of the file: 433,24 KB. How many of these would you need to reach 30 gigs? Yeah.

Lol. 30 gb of content? It's easy, just check the latest C&C games. So much content! :retarded:

Seriously though, I find very long games pretty boring. A game should be re-playable, but have a fucking end.

How the fuck do you arrive at 'game size = playtime'??? NetHack is <5mb and it's playtime is infinite!

tetris also has an infinite playtime, that doesn't make it an rpg or much fun
diversity requires space - must require space - so if there is to be a rpg with some tousands hours not only of playtime but also of fun diversity is the key - got it?

So by your own logic content does not = enjoyment, which makes your demand for more content retarded, considering this is what people have been trying to point out to you. At the very least you have to admit that a short game with good content is going to kill a shitty game with tons of content, which is what you'd usually get out of publishers. Still confused as to why people are looking forward to good mid-budget games?

But NetHack is both enjoyable and an RPG, and the RNG throws up all kinds of fun diversity?

this is getting tiresome - content does = enjoyment as long as it's good, vast and diverse
and I don't follow your deduction at all, perhaps flawed logic or failed quote

yes - a good mid-budget rpg is far better than the shit coming out these days but that was never the problem
the problem is i can't have a nice big budget rpg with quality because if kickstarter fails to deliver then big companies will be even less interested in any more rpgs in the future ;) and that is shit

In the 90s: we have good medium budget RPGs
In the 2000s: we don't, and their replaced with shit
In the 2010s: we have a chance to get them back
People donating to kickstarters: voting with their wallets to get them back.
Reapa's solution: fuck you for wanting things you like. Demand that developers make great AAA RPGs with more content than has ever appeared in any cRPG before, and accept no compromise.

How can a company be less interested than zero?

AAA budgets are inflated anyway. Perhaps a couple of successful kickstarter games will make companies review their game budgets and start working with less. No more AAA?

if they deliver and sell - and sell good - good enough to make a point

Pro-tip: most companies already have as bad an opinion of RPGs as they can.

That's the reason the *only* American devs making something resembling AAA RPGs are Obsidian, Bethesda, and Bioware. These companies are not going to stop because some kickstarters didn't work out.

and forget the 30 giga it's just a fucking example - like i said before, i care shit about graphics but other don't (and they are the masses) and i care shit how much space it takes as long as it's not random shit like d3 and it keeps me glued to my mouse and keyboard for some thousands of hours
