Curious to see how it'll work out (and how exactly it's going to work), too.

I'd say it's fairly obvious based on this snippet,
A minimum 5Mbps connection is required to use PS Now on any device. We recommend a wired Internet connection for the optimal experience.

In other words, it's going to stream the game to you being run on some remote device.

Yeah, I missed the streaming bit. It makes sense now, and it's still better than nothing. But unless it has Demon's Souls and other more interesting/niche titles, I'm not particularly interested personally.

Deep Silver has confirmed that 7th Dragon III and Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse will be released in Europe at the end of the year. Both games will be available physically or digitally so the choice is yours how you decide to buy it. If you buy the retail edition of 7th Dragon III then you will get the art book that came with first run copies in North America. Deep Silver hasn’t commented on pre-order bonuses for Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse.

Hopefully that means both will come out this year. Now I just wonder if Deep Silver will release them together or they will try to space releases date out.

Ghostlight is working on another JRPG PC port, but this time it will be not published by them.

Maybe if someone is paying ghostlight to do this they'll port something people actually give a fuck about instead of censored garbage nobody asked for.

Don't XSEED have a dedicated programmer for porting and the like? And there are company like Ghostlight that specialize in porting console to PC, although mostly are older games.
I want to believe.

thanks for the heads up!

any and all news of upcoming turn-based blobbers is much appreciated. btw, i don't know if anyone has mentioned this one yet:

EDIT: ok so i was trying to find footage of it but now i can't find any. It was something called Mai Q Labyrinth and it was either for 3DS or for VITA.

EDIT: Found it, it's called MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death for VITA. Video begins at relevant part.

temper your expectations.

I've been following this one and it is supposedly somewhat easy (certainly in comparison to SoSC or Gothic), though fun in a "customize my chars" way.

man, so you can actually make something like Lord of the Seal with just RPG Maker? that makes me want to download whatever the latest version of RPG Maker is, learn it, and waste my spare time making dungeon crawlers.

i always thought it didn't have support for a first-person viewport...

which is easier:

a) learning how to use the latest RPG Maker and making anime-tinged dungeon crawlers

or

b) learning how to code and making a dungeon crawler for directx api or whatever

???

Demo for Lord of Seal here, as well as a DRM Free version.

Well, learning how to use RPG Maker effectively to make dungeon crawlers would eventually lead to some coding-knowledge wouldn't it? RPG Maker wasn't designed for crawlers like this (I think) so you would have to tinker with the engine a bit. I would say that learning how to make games with a regular language instead of something simpler like RPG Maker would help you out in the long run especially since RPG Maker has limitations/constrictions.

I'd suggest learning how to code, but as a Computer Science student that might just be my bias.

Based on its screenshots, I think that game have used this blobber script (Japanese) for RPG Maker VX Ace. There are also a few other FPP scripts for RPG Makers (with more smoother movement than that).

I guess RPG Maker is not a bad choice for games you want to make, but basically I agree with Siveon's advice.
