It's an absolute tragedy that DRPG's are forever doomed because every fucking one of them is plagued by party members not being allowed to be older than eight years old, and the art style being absolute fucking atrocious garbage. Revolting. Disgusting.

I didn't expect OFF to come back. Sadly the OG music will likely be altered.

Funny that we're getting a remaster of OFF before Mother 4.

It does make me wonder who the hell the target audience is? Even when I was 5-12 y/o any of us wanted to be like Conan, or some epic warrior or someone who was very much an adult. We didn't want to be little 8 year olds? Do Japanese people want to be young little kids or should stating the obvious this seems more like pedo perversion? I just have no friggin clue how people or children think these days esp in different cultures? This modern fucking world ???

Nintendo is getting stricter in the west

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF I NEED DEATH END REQUEST 3
Code Z is still coming to the west on the ps4/ps5 afaik. From what I heard they toned down the fanservice even more compared to the second game, and that one was already prude compared to the first. Looks like they leaned more into gore and violence on this one.

Yeah, I've talked about this before, it's all been downhill since DERQ1. The first DERQ was a masterpiece in gameplay, story, characters; everything really. The second one was pretty milquetoast in comparison, and even cheesy at points.

The problem is that Idea Factory's main franchise, Neptunia, was doomed with gaining massive popularity, which of course means IF decided to kowtow to a retarded/ailing western audience where the loudest voices are the ones beckoning censorship and loss of quality standards.

Anyway, apparently DERQ Z is a 'spinoff', whatever the fuck that means.

Tales of Rebirth fan translation released:

I've been playing the Tales of Destiny PS2 remake english patch that came out like a year ago; it's like a Proto-Graces in terms of systems. Pretty fun, for what was the most boring Tales game originally.

Is there a main thread for the Tales series? Feel like I should start one.

Did ya'll cover this Y's & Trails game coming in 2025 already? News to me anyway it be.

Ys vs. the World

RPGFAN look at Ys vs Trails in the Sky : Alternative Saga

Something that I noticed was the background which made me think of the Final Fantasy remaster 2D/3D hybrid.

Is this like the old analogy of mixing chocolate with your peanut butter? Will fans love it or hate it?

so experience making another blobber "Demon Kill Demon" in undernauts universe, brilliant name :-D
not too optimistic since last 2 games games were not great (undernauts and mon-yu too easy, visually mon-yu was pure decline)

Was Labyrinth of Zangetsu any good?
I liked it but I don't recall last game that broke me and made me lower difficulty (ironman to non ironman)
main problem for me was that bosses and static enemies have a random chance to ambush you which is kinda bullshit design for ironman setting :-D also worth noting that I'm pretty sure there was some balance changes and patches after I was done with the game
