I also prefer to see information in written form, but sometimes a video is just more helpful, especially if you're looking for something convoluted. In such cases, do as follows:
>adblock: installed, with all filters enabled
>sponsorblock: installed, self-promotion filter set to 'auto skip,' interaction reminder (subscribe) filter set to 'auto skip'
>return youtube dislike: installed, so that if you see a high dislike ratio, you can immediately look for another video
>search "how to find [item name] in [game title] or whatever it is you're looking for
>click on the shortest video in the top results
>speed set to 2x
>if the video starts with random bullshit not related to what you're looking for, dislike and move to the next shortest one until you find what you need

A skilled writer can paint that scene very vividly, I admit I actually don't know as I don't read romance novels but from similar situations there is a lot of detail that can be painted with words alone for the scene to come alive in your mind.

I'm reading Anna Karenina, which many consider the best novel ever written, and I haven't gotten to the romance parts yet but from the character descriptions so far my mind is blown. Here's some insight into a character that you could never communicate with a movie scene alone, you'd need to stop and ponder over this, and not just hear it in the background as it's as much a character description as philosophy:

Serving for the third year as head of one of the Moscow offices, Stepan Arkadyich had acquired the respect as well as the affection of his colleagues, subordinates, superiors, and all who had dealings with him. The main qualities that had earned him this universal respect in the service were, first, an extreme indulgence towards people, based on his awareness of his own shortcomings; second, a perfect liberalism, not the sort he read about in the newspapers, but the sort he had in his blood, which made him treat all people, whatever their rank or status, in a perfectly equal and identical way; and, third – most important – a perfect indifference to the business he was occupied with, owing to which he never got carried away and never made mistakes.

There is a benefit to having the text infront of you so you can read it at your own pace, that doesn't just mean at your own wpm reading speed but also stop and think at certain ideas that strike you. With videos or audiobooks/podcasts you'd have to stop the playback each time you wanna do it, and if you want to read/watch the idea again you have to (inaccurately) skip back to find the section again. It's just inferior overall to pure text and I can say this from experience of listening to many audiobooks and seminar recordings and reading, in many cases, the identical text, which increases your comprehension over watching/listening.

Somebody recently told me on a book site that he had read almost 300 books in a year, I couldn't believe it so after prodding him a bit (and pissing him off) he admited that he listened to close to 300 audiobooks at 2x-2.5x speed while at work or doing chores. LMAO that's hardly the same as actual READING.
