I don't know how the thread got so gay. YT videos can be good for:

- seeing how a game looks.
- seeing how someone plays when they're good at the game.
- funny stuff and entertainment

Sure, a good written review or forum post is often better at all of this. I wish I had a prestigious Codexer write detailed posts about every game I like and everything I want to know about those games. It'd save me quite some time.

If any celebtubers have something to say about a game I disregard it on principle even if I'd agree with them. I don't need to help them earn tens of thousands of dollars for making a 5 minute video telling me microtransactions are shitty or explaining brainrot internet drama involving people I don't care about.

If someone uses a cartoon avatar to represent themselves in their video I also disregard them completely.

Zoomer editing and ADHD cuts get the same treatment.
