If you want nothing but fanboy discussion there's always Resetera. It was a fucking joke you 50 iq subhumanAnother simp loser enters the chatroom.
You'd think any functional adult would calmly make the arguments about the game they dislike and then leave the discussion, but this guy just keeps on going.

If I expressed my dislike anywhere outside the Codex I'd be banned immediately. At least you have a choice where you can express your shitty opinion.
Original RE4 is shit too, it always was. If everyone would stop forgetting that fact, I wouldn't have to keep reminding everyone. If you want nothing but fanboy discussion there's always Resetera.

You've not made an original argument for pages now. It's literally just nu-RE bad.
Hell I disagree with Ash on many things, but at least he makes an effort.
If they skip Code Veronica again I will be fucking pissed. Nobody wants a remake of 5.it begins!!!
I want Dino Crisis 1, 2, and then Code Veronica. After that they can stop with the remakes.
Resident Evil 5 is their best selling Resident Evil, it’s happening.
They will replace the locals with white scientists and white colonists. Or change the locale to Andalusia, close enough to Africa!it begins!!!

I know right, I miss large hams.btw Wesker's new voice actor sucks.
Too bad the guy who voiced him in RE5 was cancelled. He did an awesome job hamming it up.
On the other hand Code: Veronica is one of their, (and is the worst selling of their regular RE games)
Wish they would just stop with the remakes and make new shit. We know those stories already, and they are not gonna make it better then the originals anyway. If they skip Code Veronica again I will be fucking pissed. Nobody wants a remake of 5.

Hot take: if we hang in there a few years, it's not impossible we could have a version of RE6 that isn't dogshit. So tired of the age of remakes.
RE4 isn't a horror game.I get why you don't like this, but as a horror game fan I'm very happy to read it. We probably agree that veering away from "survival horror" gameplay and closer to "horror" makes this remake less faithful to the original. In my case I am pleased by the departure; I love it when a game isn't so easy to dissect into "I have 11 bullets and each zombie takes 3.2 shots to kill and a knife stab is worth 0.45 bullets so I can either shoot 4 times or shoot 3 times and stab once or shoot twice and stab 3 times so ..." In horror, I much prefer "well I've got 11 bullets left and there are a lot of them so here goes"The difficulty is way higher than it was in the original game, but mostly because the combat feels very inconsistent (which is by design, but I'm not a fan of that). Not sure what's going on in my case, but they don't get stunned when I shoot them in the head. They don't even flinch. I tried again just now and one guy completely ignored being shot in the face as he rushed and grabbed me.
The original game had very tight and predictable mechanics - you always knew what animations/moves Leon and enemies will perform, the movement was very solid and gamey, and all of the enemies had predictable behaviors. The remake, on the other hand, is very "loose" - just like in RE2Remake, enemies tend to have inconsistent hit reactions (sometimes a headshot makes them flinch, sometimes it makes them to fall on the ground, sometimes it sets them up for a melee attack, and sometimes they just tank the damage and keep going).

No it isn't, Shinji Mikami himself said horror is the least important thing in the game.RE4 isn't survival horror. RE was already on the decline prior RE4. The point of RE4 was to revive the franchise in the first place. RE3, Code Veronica and RE:0 all had middling fan receptions compared to the first two entries.RE4 is a dumb action-adventure game that's single-handedly responsible for the downfall of horror Resident Evil games
The point of RE4 was to revive the franchise into a entirely different genre. Contrary to popular opinion around here, I think that's pretty shit and it doesn't do Resident Evil any justice.RE was already on the decline prior RE4.
