Why are Australians so special?
how the fuck do you make almost 2 million messages and then bitch that I made 2?
Well, if you want to specify it like that, it's an objectively well-made game. Like almost EVERY other RE game out there. And yes dude, I also played the older games and understand the significance of what they did right when they first got released (you know how? Because I already was alive and played every one of them at release date). And when it comes to picking your favourite, it's of course all about subjectivism. But your problem obviously seems to be the fact that you're denying everything done right in this game because it is the reason why your beloved series is no more. Your whole entity here is just about pure hatred, nihilism, and cope, and you act as if the series was the cornerstone of your life.No it's why you and your ilk repeatedly claim that RE4 is objectively good. Because you can't just fucking admit you like RE4 because you prefer it. You always have to throw this "objective" bullshit at me. So I throw it right back at you by saying RE4 is objectively shit and you can't comprehend it.Do you really think that media outlets are the reason why I think that Resident Evil 4 is more enjoyable than the other games of the series?
Baldur's Gate 3 is SHIT!but I can't deny the fact that Baldur's Gate 3 for example is doing a lot of great things too.
I'm going to make one thing clear.. I don't care that RE4 exists. Doesn't bother me.
If RE4 didn't influence absolutely everything Crapcom did in regards to remakes of the original trilogy, I would have nothing to say.
You see that guys? He doesn't care about RE4. He posts about it more than anyone on planet Earth but he doesn't care.
A worthy remake with zombie killing in Antarctica, what more could one ask for?Let's hope Code Veronica gets the remake it deserves
Is this remake actually good? Like on the same level as RE2 Remake?
The demo wasn't poignant enough for me to jump the fence...
Bonus:
RE1 remake was basically the same game (i.e. functioned on the same rules), but it was bigger, better, and more mechanically rich than the original. RE2 remake was a completely new game - a good one, but very different from the original. With RE3 remake the devs took the same approach as RE2, they just did it in a shitty way.Is this remake actually good? Like on the same level as RE2 Remake?
There was really no reason to re-make RE4 sice the original is still a relatively modern action game with over-the-shoulder camera, so this remake ended up being a "sidegrade".
some are 1:1 or at least very close to the original, some are slightly expanded, some have entirely different layouts, and some are made smaller and more cramped for difficulty purposes. There was really no reason to re-make RE4 sice the original is still a relatively modern action game with over-the-shoulder camera, so this remake ended up being a "sidegrade".
Have they also re-created the levels 1:1? Or are they larger, and allow for more stealth?
...and some are made smaller and more cramped for difficulty purposes.
Yeah, the original could've just used some gameplay tweaks and graphical touch ups, with perhaps some new content spliced in. This remake sounds more like an alternate/remixed version than a proper replacement based on this.RE1 remake was basically the same game (i.e. functioned on the same rules), but it was bigger, better, and more mechanically rich than the original. It has some mechanical improvements (QoL changes like being able to switch between weapons using hotkeys, better resource management, better weapon balancing, storage box, more frantic combat, everything to do knives and parrying), but it also has some mechanical downgrades (indestructible wooden doors, less precise movement due to realistic animations, worsened Ashley's AI, etc).
It has some story improvements (Luis no longer dies like a chump and now has a good character arc; Krauser went from some random military dude who pops up in the third act to a tragic villain suffering from PTSD akin to Dolph Lundgren from Universal Soldier), but also some story downgrades (Ada as a character is way worse, her appearances are rarer, and her voice acting is pretty poor; Salazar and Saddler are less memorable due to codec conversations being removed, etc).
It has some content additions (new weapons like MP-5 and a bowgun, expanded Shooting range, crafting mechanics, new sections such as Armored El Gigante on the castle battlements, etc), but also some cuts (no cable car segment, no garrador cage fight, no sewers, no spike traps, no bulldozer, etc etc).
Basically, for every little thing that was added or improved, some different element was cut or worsened.
Yes, but so was RE3 remake and it was crap.RE4 remake is 1:1 same as RE2, same style, same concept, just RE4 in a new shell with new stuff added and original flavour kept in tact.
Ada's handling in this is pure decline.

Enough with the Ella Freya jokes!
