So, what's the gameplay look like?
The art direction looks like a Leonard Boyarski's dream project. Is it yet another case of "nice graphics, just wish there was a game to go with them"?
none of RE games were walking sims/cinematic experience/interactive movies like you're trying to imply, RE series was always about the gameplay. Is it yet another case of "nice graphics, just wish there was a game to go with them"?
I've suddenly developed an interest in this game. Will probably pick it up once the price gets reasonable.
CRAPCOM are rubbing their hands together. They don't have to spend any money on marketing when they have the shills on Youtube, Reddit, and RPGCodex to do the marketing for them for free!
Just look at this next gen RE gameplay. Totally new and original. We've never seen anything like it in RE before.
and then he missed the barrelI cringe when they showcased the explosive barrel, complete with narration/demonstrative intent. Sure show the explosion if you must, don't comment on it too. this is embarrassing. fuck.

Yes, as was the case with Cyberjunk 2077. Only the graphics and presentation matter anymore.

This has been the case circa 2007 (if not before...definitely before). Oblivion/Turok Reboot/Bioshock/Mass Effect/Uncharted/Assassin's Creed/Gears of War/Halo 3 etc. Standards went out the fucking window while everyone was singing their praises and I was left completely fucking confused. Did nobody else actually play games up to that point?
I'm not "trying to imply" nor implying. From the little footage I've seen, more time was devoted to walking around and cinematics than to shooting.none of RE games were walking sims/cinematic experience/interactive movies like you're trying to imply, RE series was always about the gameplay.
RE7 was the only one that got close to it with its overly long introductory sequence.
Dishonored is piss easy as well. You can put down house rules to make it harder for yourself, but the missions are still designed around the lowest common denominator. This has been the case circa 2007 (if not before...definitely before). I'm surprised the SJWs haven't pressured Capcom into transforming her into a fat disgusting dyke. The critics will certainly cringe and curse when they see an attractive lady with cleavage in their game. Freaks.
well I did not expect to see a thread like this on Era.
I think some of the fan artists are undershooting how tall she actually is. Based on the material we´ve seen so far, heres my official prediction of how gigantic she is going to be compared to the player character. I might be alittlebit off, but I think this is pretty close:
If she's 9", the height comparison site says this is broadly correct, for Leon vs. vampire lady
I have to say, out of all the obscure fetishes Resident Evil touches on, I did not see giantess porn as the one with broad mainstream appeal.

Resetera loves her.

This has been the trend with mainstream games from at least the Xbox 360 generation and onwards. Dumbing down of gameplay, quest markers, and quick-time events just to name a few of the common downward trends. Current gen has kept all the same trends from last gen but have added on top of that microtransactions, pre-order bundles, and completely unplayable buggy games on release. RE:VILLAGE has all of the above and brings nothing new to the table, but watch while the Simps eat it up anyway. They will consume anything!
The point is the "game" isn't really there, at least in the case of Witcher 3/Cyberpunk/RDR2/AsscreedStopped clocks.
Resident Evil hasn't been hardcore for 20 years, who cares at this point. Classy tall goth = I will now play your game.

I agree with you but the last decent RE game that Capcom released was with RE IV (it was a decent action shooter not so much survival), so this boat of decline set sail a long time ago. This one is somewhat interesting because goth style horror is pretty much non existant but the thought of walking on corridors again, doing some lame popamole shooting and some light survival elements with "crafting" and tons of walking simulator makes want to vomit. So, this one is 75% off on 2023 or a visit to fit girl for me. Unless Capcom really proves they actually tried hard into making a good game, the vampire milkers meme are fun and all but no way in hell I gonna buy this thing only for that. If it is the same crap as RE7, gonna choose the least obnoxious streamer and play on youtube. The point is the "game" isn't really there, at least in the case of Witcher 3/Cyberpunk/RDR2/AsscreedStopped clocks.

You are asked to pay for a B-movie plot that lasts about 4 hours and is additionally padded with rote "activities" to push it up to 30-50 hours, mostly occupied with time fillers. You are better off watching an actual B-movie, or if you go that way, why not watch an actually good movie.

...not yet.At least there is no season pass for RE8
