I never played the game.
Can you please say, what exactly they removed?

Because "sensitive content" can mean the most banal shit in our "modern times".

In the game you commit suicide by shooting yourself in the head and jumping out of window.

Bought Into the Radius a few months ago to support the devs but haven't looked into it yet. You cannot complain about the lack of games and not support ambitious small studios like this one. So far my money seems to be well spent.

Here's a summary:

This info comes from the 90 minute presentation at Sony's closed VR developer summit.
  • Sony refers to the headset as "NGVR" (Next Gen VR), not PSVR2
  • 2000x2040 per eye OLED
  • fresnel lenses
  • 110 FOV
  • utilizes flexible scaling resolution, foveated rendering and eye tracking
  • haptics in the headset (older style rotory motor to help improve immersion and reduce motion sickness)
  • No info on backward compatibility but there's a push for remastering old PSVR games

Remasters, how much you bet you will find skyrim vr once again ...If the line up is as exciting as the PS5 one , it wont help vr. Non ironically facebook is sadly doing better to make vr more popular .Once again fantastic specs and nothing to play on.

I only stated the technical sides of the headset. The video also mentioned how they want to move away from VR "experiences" and focus on AAA titles.

They want to, but they announce or show nothing, by now if they are serious there's an AAA in the work. So there's nothing happening besides good hardware with nothing on it.

My bro got steam vr and I got to play little bit of hl alyx. I thought it was pretty fun so I'm thinking of getting vr for myself too.

I have some questions.

1. What vr headset you guys recommend?
2. Are there any good games besides hl alyx? What else can you do with vr besides games and porn? I'm only getting this for entertainment purposes.
3. Should I even get vr? To me it feels like the tech isn't really mature yet and feel more like a hobbyist thing. I also got very motion sick (I had to stop after 10 seconds) when I tired using the continuous locomotion. It got better after I started "walking" in place. (I could play over 15 mins)
4. Is my rig good enough for vr? I got i5-9600k and gtx 2070 super.

The rig is fine if you also have 16gb ram, obviously biased here but i think vr is definitely worth it, i play it almost daily (mainly for cardio and online shooters).

On the question which headset is the right one, well it depends. I am very happy with my Quest2 as it is fully wireless (you can even play pcvr without a cable). However visual fidelity will be better with a highend pcvr headset. Keep in mind that you will need a facebook account and if you plan on buying games from the oculus ecosystem it will be better if that account does not have a fake name.

And yeah, vr is still in its infancy. Were talking maybe snes era when compared to flatscreen gaming.

If you're willing to spend a lot knowing that you're future proofing yourself just get the Index. It's $999 but $500 of that are forward compatible lighthouses and Knuckles controllers. When the Index 2 or whatever comes out you'll only need the headset.

As good as the Quest 2 hardware is... I can't stomach Facebook's privacy concerns and the way they're handling their walled garden. VR has enough problems without those fuckers buying up studios and making Quest exclusives.

Get quest 2 , cause you have access to oculus exclusives, you can bypass that of course and use other headset but we dont know for how long. Then the quest 2 has air link mode , you can play where you want without any cables. it's cheap and tracking is very good, no base stations to install.
Except half life alyx, boneworks is excellent, then lone echo, then saint and sinners, and also asgard's wrath. Those are the big titles , now there's quite a few good indies , you can usually get them on humble bundle for almost nothing. I suggest sairento, population one , arizona sunshine pavlov , blade and sorcery(although very unfinished).

One of my favorite VR games (Sairento) is getting a spiritual successor. Looks pretty fun and it's open to playtesting if you register on Steam

What do you guys think of fallout 4? I was thinking maybe getting some mods that turn it into a shooter or stalker lite with minimal rpg elements.

Parent company of TikTok just bought a Pico, a company that makes standalone wireless headset Pico Neo, kind of Quest clone. I remember some people were saying Pico is a good alternative for those who are concerned about privacy with Facebook lmao

TikTok’s parent company Bytedance is rumored to have invested 5 billion yuan ($771 million) in acquiring Chinese VR hardware maker Pico.

In a potentially related development, TikTok recently launched its Effect Studio feature, an AR development platform that allows developers to build AR effect filters for short videos on the platform.

Pico, founded in March 2015, is a technology company focusing on mobile virtual reality technology and product development. The company released Neo 3, its first VR headset to rival Quest, in May, for which it received positive reviews. According to a report by IDC, Pico owned the largest market share in China’s VR market in 2020. It completed a B+ round of financing worth 242 million yuan in March this year.

Headquartered in Beijing, Pico has set up R&D centers and branches in Qingdao, Japan and North America. Its offline sales channels cover more than 40 cities in China. The research team continues to focus on virtual reality technology, interactive technology, market and developer expansion, VR’s large-scale applications and customer service.
