It is easy actually. Just need to activate developers mode and use side quest. It also used to play standalone quest ports like Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake 2, Jedi Academy etc from Dr Beef.

I never had problems like yours - no headache, i can stand easily for multiple hours and don't get disoriented easily. If you having motion sickness there are comfort options in most if not all games, and you can always play in 30 min to 1 hour sessions before you get used to it. I also got few suggestions from youtube:

Strap your link cable like this if you are playing wired, then it's less of an annoyance and the port is harder to damage. I use Bobovr m2 strap myself, but it's universal.

Also put a small rug in the middle of the room to always know where you are while playing.

As for games, i liked TWD Sains and Sinners, Half Life 2 VR mod, Modded Skyrim VR is insane, Alyx was alright, Into The Radius, Paradox of Hope (got sabotaged by Metro publisher so dev rebranded it as ConVRgence with some changes) and some others. I have a thread in this subforum for vr action games.

And don't buy link cable that is too cheap, mine was eventually damaged and i had connection issues.

I have some other suggestions but i leave them for later. Gotta go.

I see some videos from Cybergunk VR etc and people just move with a thumbstick. Isn't it a problem?
Same with you I nearly fell over the first time. It did take about 2 weeks for the balance, headache issues to go away fully. I still find VR a bit uncomfortable but it's regular discomfort instead of progressively becoming sick.

Haven't played a lot of games. While getting used to VR I played a lot of Hot Dogs Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, Take and Hold mode. More chaotic than I would like but shooting is fun and the game doesn't involve moving around much. Alyx is good. For melee combat I tend to play GORN over Blade and Sorcery as it's easier to get in and out and doesn't have people running at you all the time, and less nauseating early on as well.
