Blazing Ocean's Eleven? :D I enjoyed some parts of Risen 2 just because i'm a sucker for pirate theme and game had dirty fighting. But its mainly a disgrace to "Gothic" genre (though the king is still Gothic 4...) with lots of streamlined content like "one long corridor islands" and pretty useless (but somewhat entertaining) voodoo.
In short i have zero interest this game ^_^ and i too rather have Risen 3: Blazing Saddles!

Gothic 3, Adanos Ending. Destroy all 5 Adanos artifacts at the forge in Nordmar, kill Rhobar and Zuben for the staff and scepter and then leave the world via some portal using said staff and scepter as keys to activate it.

BTW, what's the Kodex Kritikal Konsensus on Risen 2? I can buy the collector's edition for $55, with a lot of feelies inside (a barrel, a pirate flag, a... statue of gnome? WTF). Is it worth it?
55$? No. Maybe 15 in a sale. Risen 2 is the weakest PB game yet, I had fun with it but after the first three or so areas it becomes quite linear (one of the areas should've been named corridor coast), even shitter endgame than usual.
Enjoyed the first half but it's not worth 55 bucks.

Yes, this is the "a mage banished the gods" story that Risen 1 is based off of (spiritually, of course) -- hence the implication that it was the intended or "best" ending.

Gnomes that say "Fuck" a lot are about the high point. Also the flirting with racism with the voodoo theme and Tarzan film made up Swahili voice acting.
Feisty pirate lass #2312 has more than 3 animations in DA2.
There were even some ealry concept art pics for Risen's intro figuring this Gothic 3 ending and establishing the game as an actual sequel to Gothic series.

It seems that the new game is Risen 3. Not a big surprise but I don't understand why PB is so coy about it.
PS. Risen 2 had 3 dlcs and it is possible that Risen 3 will have also 3 dlcs even if the numbering starts with 4.

I don't think so. But they signed a contract for a trilogy and I guess they have more brain than coreplay not to kill their baby out of greed.

If they have ANY i mean ANY sense they will just return to the roots make a good fucking game, make a good game defined by what made Gothic and Risen 1 good.
I just dont understand their thinking. They make Risen 1, mild successful it wont sell billions but it is a well receive game, fans love it, faith is restored . So what should we do next? Make a game that has nothing to do with Risen 1 other then name.
