Agreed. If you want to vote for game X as 2023 GOTY, you better write a review for it, mate.only gaymz with codex review should be allowed to vote on
I didn't get too far into it to make a detailed comparison but I'd say if you liked the first one you'll probably like the second one too. There always the "demo" option as well if unsure.how does Sacrifice compares to first game? S&Sanctuary was super good gameplay wise, but color palette was too boring. i never manage to finish it even if i reached 2/3 of the game i thinkPlayed bannerlord and salt, good games.
doesnt work like that, at least for me. I ended up playing roughly twice as many games as I remembered in past year. Also there is this problem that when you play something, you dont actually care for release dateYou know what games you played last year, vote for them. You don't need to read the entire list.
It's a test of our attention span and/or ability to solve simple problems, hence useful as a secondary gatekeeper.A humongous list of shovelware is a little distracting.
One is easier. "Dev considers it a RPG so it goes on the list, rate it whatever you want"He's obviously in an impossible position - a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. If he's going to get into the argument, he's either going to have to argue for the inclusion of all the rubbish games or he's going to have to explain the totally subjective criteria that made him choose this or that game to be on the list.
First time i heard about it, or maybe that's one of those early access games launched decades ago i forgot about and only released recently. Had to use the codex search engine to find a thread and it's well buried. Hardly anyone speak about it, same for kotC2 or similar indie titles.Roguelike Zorbus is more RPG than any of these games.
Pure incline. D&D inspired, proper graphics and sounds, ambiance, dynamic lighting, advanced AI, dev posts here on the Codex.
Hm, well the last time we had an argument about this same topic I mentioned that a game shouldn't make the poll unless there's an actual thread on the Codex about it. Since games like "Super Animal Lesbian RPG" made the list it's clear that Felipe absolutely needs to have every piece of shovelware/cringeware released in a given year on it, and everyone's just going to have to deal (by either taking a few minutes to go through the entire list or being discouraged from voting, both outcomes are acceptable).doesnt work like that, at least for me. I fully expect next year list to double in size. It is a proud tradition that happens every year.I dont understand the drama around this pool, I might like a little bit more curated list but honestly scrolling thru all the games and picking 2 I`ve played took me under minute so I`m perplexed by people who were lost and are crying the list is so long they felt overwhelmed.
There's at least one codexer owning this game,so it has be in the list, not pointing finger at anyone of course but name starts with a F and ends with a T.Hm, well the last time we had an argument about this same topic I mentioned that a game shouldn't make the poll unless there's an actual thread on the Codex about it. Yup, every year the same retards are too stupid going through a listIt is a proud tradition that happens every year.I dont understand the drama around this pool, I might like a little bit more curated list but honestly scrolling thru all the games and picking 2 I`ve played took me under minute so I`m perplexed by people who were lost and are crying the list is so long they felt overwhelmed.
It's a good idea, though quite a bit of work. If you want it, you'll probably have to do it.at least next year put a gameplay picture next to the game, so we can see at a glance what marvels we've unwillingly skipped
That would totally skew the poll results. I would have to put Elden Ring first and Knights of the Chalice 2 literally last.Though Infi is actually right, putting the titles that have more steam reviews at the top of the list can easily solve the problem.
Maybe go by length of Codex threads then. Shovelware with no threads gets listed last. That would totally skew the poll results.
