Let's add these great RPGs to your shitty poll. Let's stuff it until it blows.felipepe said:We need to do the poll with the 158 games precisely so we can then sort out which ones are actually noteworthy - then everyone can easily search them.
That was part of the list? What is it?There is no contest here, the true monocled gentleman's choice should be obvious from this list.
Probably. It's the only one that has been played by more than 2 people. You think that one will win? It's interesting that you seem to take more issue with Elden Ring being on the poll than you do with Super Lesbian Animal Sex Simulator...Do the God's work and vote 1 on Elden Ring, so we don't get another Disco situation where tranny Reddit crowd manages to make a non-RPG win...
perhaps moving on to system where at least 1 codexer need to vouch for game is in order. This is a poll, not a recommendations list. We need to do the poll with the 158 games precisely so we can then sort out which ones are actually noteworthy - then everyone can easily search them.So when felipepepe puts 158 games and you decide to search for any game that is not triple A or from any dev you already know about and after looking for two or three that are literally trash, you just give up and assume they were put there just to say a lot of RPGs are being released every year.
nah, games to be trashed need to appear tooI almost wonder if it'd be easier to have a thread where everyone just picks literally one game as their RPGOTY and then see how that shakes out. Possibly with reasons why they chose it. That'd probably be an interesting read and keep out most of the garbage and weird dogpiling, trying to bury a game for whatever agenda.
Actually, wasn't there a thread a few* years back that had basically 1 (or 5?) best and worst lists.nah, games to be trashed need to appear tooI almost wonder if it'd be easier to have a thread where everyone just picks literally one game as their RPGOTY and then see how that shakes out. I suppose my thought is, I'd be curious if you had a strict limitation, e.g. What is the best/worst RPG you played last year and why, that that would probably be more illuminating about tastes and why certain games are loved/hated than just a list of numbers that could mean different things to different people, given that no one can even agree what an RPG is.Why have shovelware RPGs in the poll? The real question is "why not"? Data is good.
If it's because tl;dr-ers with short attention spans won't respond to the poll because they're too lazy to find the games they played, the solution is to have a policy where the games with (let's say) a certain minimum number of Steam reviews appear above the rest.
Why don't you make that thread yourself? Then you could compare and contrast with the official poll later.I suppose my thought is, I'd be curious if you had a strict limitation, e.g. What is the best/worst RPG you played last year and why, that that would probably be more illuminating about tastes and why certain games are loved/hated than just a list of numbers that could mean different things to different people, given that no one can even agree what an RPG is.Why have shovelware RPGs in the poll? I'm working on it, chill. There is literally nothing wrong with putting a bunch of shovelware on the list.

Because at some point it becomes tedious. How many games wont have a single vote, 50? 100?Why have shovelware RPGs in the poll? The real question is "why not"? Data is good.

The rpgcodex goty poll does not scale to your level. If you're not prestigious to read through and ignore 100 titles to find the 3 you played, you don't deserve a vote.I feel like their needs to be some kind of pre-filtering done on this list. Too much random shovelware that obviously doesn't belong in such a contest.
ftfy. I didn't even know about the Super Lesbian Animal Porn RPG or whatever until after I'd already voted. The rpgcodex goty poll does not scale to your level. RPGs? Half of these games are not an RPGs at all.Why have shovelware RPGs in the poll?
Roguelike Zorbus is more RPG than any of these games.
